well i went to a oddschecker website to check the odds and the odds dont seem to come up for either Leicester or Portsmouth, i know Portsmouth now have a new manager Appleton so they must think Pearson is a sure thing now and they are even offering odds on hulls new manager sposed to be Warren Joyce.......

so according to the bookies it must be a certain thing

well, i would have thought, Mr O'Neil said he wasnt interested in you, our manager, Mr Clark clearly isnt interested in you, even if mr Pearson would rather spend the winter with you, how are you and he going to feel (and perform) knowing he was third choice and would not have been given the job if a more able manager had wanted the job

Lee Clark more able than Nigel Pearson?

Pearson achieved promotion from League 1 and then got his team into the play-offs in the Championship.

Where as Lee Clark has not been able to achieve promotion with Huddersfield and has never managed in the Championship.

Clark was doing a good job at huddersfeild but tbh if he didnt want to come here i actually think it is negative on him that he wants to stay with a club that have no ambition.

tbh he probley did it so he can keep a job for years cuz at leicester theres a chance you get the sack but also probley for family reasons and not wanting to move citys.

Huddersfield fans sure showed their true colours tho. He's done everything for them and they all turned on him at the slightest rumour he was coming to us.

Clark is doing a good job at Huddersfield. Although I would have liked to see him as Leicester City manager, he is building a good team at Huddersfield Town, who have showed faith in him since day one. I don't think he would want to chuck all that out of the window, especially considering they are on course for promotion again.

And it's not like Huddersfield are a small club either. They are a big club with a good history and a massive fan base.

I can't really see this falling through now it would be a far too messy fallout not to mention bad PR for all three parties concerned.

However the longer it drags on the more nervous i'm getting about it and i'm sure it's very unsettling for the players. can't say I blame our owners though, they didn't get rich by giving in to unreasonable demands.

Also, it's doing my frickin' head in. O'Neill followed by Pearson were my choices and as a consequence of them both being candidates I haven't stopped trawling the net since this whole thing started. I just want to get back to living. Why won't they let me live?!?

Why do people keep saying that Huddersfield are a big club? They have **** all of a recent history and are no more than an average sized club, on par with a Bradford, Burnley or Watford.

If we had wanted Clark then he would now be manager of LCFC. He was according to Bert interviewed and i'll take a bet with anyone that it wasn't him who turned us down.

Enticing their manager away mid-season because we've fooked up is rude in fact it's more than rude especially after they took him on because we didn't think he was good enough.

But it wasn't because they didn't think he was good enough, it was because he had a massive bust up with Chief Exec Lee Hoos, who has since left.

I've got to say I think the owners at Hull are being childish about this, these situations arise in Football and business and dragging them out does Hull as much damage as us.

Don't start that rubbish. When was the last time they were in the top 2 divisions? Cov have won the fa cup. Are they a big club?

Well nor Cov or us have won Divison 1 three times.

Well I think Mandaric having Sousa around whilst giving Pearson permission to be interviewed say's to me we don't care if you go we've got someone better. Either way Mandaric was happy to lose him and if as a club we're now paying over the odds to get him back that pretty much say's as a club we fooked up.

As for Hull 'dragging it out' one could argue we're dragging it out by not paying up after all they're the ones that are going to lose out and have to take the risk of finding an equal or better manager something we know from bitter experience is no easy task.

I can't fault our owners over this. If Hull are holding out for an absurd pay off then fair play for not giving in. Just cos we've spent a few quid other clubs are trying to hold us to ransom. Fact is, whatever more we pay Hull in compo than necessary could be used towards NP's transfer kitty. If NP has to resign to come here and it goes to a tribunal, so be it. It must be worth waiting an extra few days to save half a million quid!!

And your point is? When was the last time they won anything?

They want 1 mill for him apparently.

Won't just be for Pearson though will it, will be for Walsh and Shakespeare too? I think?

They're bigger end of story,Just because we've won a couple of Worthington Cup's recently doesn't mean we have a better history.

Yeah thats right.

Hull are trying to get as much money out of Leicester as possible. But the longer they make it last the less time they have To get a manager in place for their match next weekend.

Well, you can't blame Hull for holding out. Pearson is contracted to them. However loyalty means nothing to him, so he will probably end up here.
