They're bigger end of story,Just because we've won a couple of Worthington Cup's recently doesn't mean we have a better history.

Yeah thats right.

But they are still no more than an average sized club an if Clark was wanted here he would have been. History means nothing when you have done nothing for 60 years. Dangerous Tiger that there is fact.

Obviously no-one knows anything for certain but anyone heard what I've heard?

We originally offered £650k, that is what Hull paid us, Hull are/were asking for £1m, eventually we came back and accepted £1m, Hull then came back to us and said no and now they have up it again to £1.2m?

Don't get me wrong I 100% understand Hull want the best deal but the are becoming right twats if that is true. Best get sorted soon, a valuable week has been wasted already.

I heared the figure Hull wanted was £2million

If the Pearson deal has hit the buffers, I hope we go for Billy Davies.

Why do people keep saying that Huddersfield are a big club? They have **** all of a recent history and are no more than an average sized club, on par with a Bradford, Burnley or Watford.

If we had wanted Clark then he would now be manager of LCFC. He was according to Bert interviewed and i'll take a bet with anyone that it wasn't him who turned us down.

What makes a big club? I have heared several players, managers and former professional's say that a good history and a big fan base makes a big club. So, I count Huddersfield as a big club. The fan base is massive, and they have enjoyed sucess, ok it may not be recent, but they have still won 3 division 1 (Premier League) titles and one FA Cup. To be fair, they have a better history than us.

If you are going on recent history, there is only going to be the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Apparently deal has hit the buffers, and we may be looking elsewhere, if we cannot get NP bring in Billy Davies

But doesn't that mean Hull are now left with a manager who doesn't want to be there? No this will go through surely

I don't think it going to happen now, they want £2m we won't budge they won't either it looks like we may have decided enough is enough and are looking elsewhere now.

Can't see a deal "hitting the buffers" and that being the end of it, Pearson is coming, when? Nobody knows but he has burnt his bridges at Hull and won't be managing there much longer, what Hull fans and arguably players are going to want to play for him now? What use to Hull is he know?

Hull are obviously making the situation awkward but one way or another he won't be managing Hull and they won't pay his contract till it runs out I'm sure, and when we get chance he'll be coming.

...I hope.

The Hull board is acting like a bunch of t**ts now wanting £2m in compensation I say we are well within our right not to bother reasoning with them.

If the deal has hit the buffers, or is stalling, I can't see Pearson managing Hull again seeing as he wanted "to talk to Leicester". Obviously Hull are holding out for the money they know the owners have, and although the owners want Pearson I can't see them paying over the top really, but that also depends on whether they want other managers, such as Billy Davies, or not.

If it doesn't happen, I want Billy Davies in.

We will still get Pearson. If we don't get him buy 'agreeing' compensation all Pearson has to do is resign? Either way Pearson won't be manager of Hull City in a week, he has left the job untenable.

Average attendance this season - 12,977

Average attendance last season - 13,733

Average attendance 2009/10 - 14,381

Average attendance 2008/09 - 12,862

Now that is hardly big, let alone massive. Just because they won some titles whilst football was developing in the earlier part of last century, it does not make them a big club. It is really not rocket science. Please engage your brains.

I'm not denying that.

What I am saying is what use is Pearson to Hull now?

Therefore sooner or later they'll let him go - even if we "pretend" to tell Hull where to stick it, they're not going to let a manager who clearly doesn't want to there manage the team, they're not going to pay him gardening leave for the rest of his contract im sure so he will be out of Hull soon.

East Midlands today are claiming Hull are asking for £1m which is well publicised and saying it may be a case of Pearson resigning, which I have to ask the question - why hasn't he already?!

Thing is you must have forked out close to 2 million to be rid on Eriksson. If the board regard him as not good enough and Pearson as the answer, then surely 2 Million is worth paying. Considering a manager is the most important person at a club, you'd think they would be the most expensive.

Consider this. Waghorn, who hasn't been starting regularly at Leicester is Valued at 3 Million. Pearson, the person trusted with guiding you to the Premier League with all the riches that go along with it. Is currently valued by your board at 1 Million.

Doesn't make sense does it.

There not bad attendances for a Town club either,They've got a good fan base but there stadium only holds 24,500 ours holds 32,500 and our average attendance is only 23,080 so it is about the same.

Exactly. Huddersfield usually take a large following wherever they go. I still class them as a big club.

If what has been wriiten in this thread is to be believed your board has asked for £1Million initially and that is what we offered. For them to change the goalposts after we said yes to the amount they asked for is out of order. If they had been asking for the 2Million in the first place, although too much, it would be fair enough.

It is not like Pearson is going to be able to go back to you now so it may be time for your board to stop trying brinkmanship and get on with finding a new manager.

Were taking about average attendances now,I'm pretty sure back in the day Hudders had alot more attending there games.
