Captain... Posted 18 November 2011 Posted 18 November 2011 From what I have seen of him here and in the past, he is a quality player, maybe too good for the championship, maybe he's struggled to adjust to the Championship. Maybe he has struggled to find his best form in an underperforming unmotivated team where he has been played out of position. Then a manager he knows quite well is sacked and a new man comes in, but not just any old new man the old boss who played Wellens, King, Gallagher and Dyer a lot, maybe he just wants to write it off as a bad experience and move on. It would be a shame if he did, but if he doesn't want to play for us, then he should go, but I hope he gets a chance under Pearson because he certainly has the ability to be very successful for us.
Callabinho Posted 18 November 2011 Posted 18 November 2011 He is a great player, but if he doesn't want to be here, I don't want him here.

MC Prussian Posted 18 November 2011 Posted 18 November 2011 All I mean is out of the games he's played, about half have been very good and the other half poor. Why would Nigel fob him off at this stage though? Unless he's got the wrong attitude in the first place and that's why he's been left out. If he had a bad attitude, he'd have been benched a long time ago.
Salieri Posted 18 November 2011 Posted 18 November 2011 If he cant live without Sven, then get rid. We don't need unhappy players around. Agreed. He obviously only signed because of Sven, not the club, so if he's blubbing about Sven's exit then he can do one. He won't be the only one who only signed because of Sven but hopefully the others won't follow his lead. Johnson for instance. <_<
bluearmyfox23 Posted 18 November 2011 Posted 18 November 2011 For me fernandes has made himself like a proper gay!! And like others have said if he doesnt want to play for us then do 1 that accounts to any player !! Also i hope nige is happy about this it would free up room for him to bring koren in !! I can see johnson making the same move next tbh
dannythefox Posted 19 November 2011 Posted 19 November 2011 To be fair he can go for me he's had two great games but apart from that we have others that can do the same job. Lets save some coin and let him go back we wont miss him. Sven brought the big names in now he's gone let them go if they don't want to play for us. I only want players who want to play for the club if they dont there's people that will step in there shoes. Bye Bye!
millzi Posted 19 November 2011 Posted 19 November 2011 Shaun Derry and Alejandro Faurlin at QPR are both holding midfielders and were colossal last season. As was Mark Gower for Swansea. Infact every team I can think of has a defensive midfielder in their team. Reading had Leigertwood and that Turkish lad. Cardiff had Olofinjana. Forest had McKenna. The list goes on. I was thinking exactly this when I saw the original statement.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 19 November 2011 Posted 19 November 2011 Yeah we have yuki abe, and michael johnson if fernandes does leave !
bluearmyfox23 Posted 19 November 2011 Posted 19 November 2011 Also was i the only person that got cautious when fernandes went in for a tackle around the edge of the box? He gives away to many freekicks that are not needed and he has a massive attitude problem.!!
sphericalfox Posted 19 November 2011 Posted 19 November 2011 It was inevitable that one or more players who came to the club solely based on the fact that Sven was manager might on his departure, want to leave the club. Gelson is a quality player, and didn't play enough to prove the thought that he was inconsistant. Yet I've read nothing in the British press that suggests he is leaving, nor any in the knows, stating the same. He's here on loan. Was it not for the season? If he is unhappy, then it is fair to let him go. As Sven said there's no room in the team for players that are unhappy. I'm sure Pearson will have the same thoughts. It'll be interesting over the next few weeks what the rotation policy will be, and whether Nigel utilises the loan market before it closes on Thursday.
Top_Fox Posted 19 November 2011 Posted 19 November 2011 Expected more professionalism from the lad. Bruno should have a word with his fellow countryman. In all seriousness though I would be happy for Gelson to go back

????? Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 He reads the game better than any other player I've seen for a while, although he was a little inconsistent he's an excellent player. If he doesn't want to be here get rid asap, he will only damage morale.
