Bryn Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Hes not going to plea not guilty because hes broken the speed limit regardless just saying there could be more to the story like he thought he was doing 9mph over the speed limit instead of 29mph Do you drive mate? These 50 zones are obnoxiously obvious. The 50 signs are everywhere, the average speed detectors are big cock off yellow things that loom over the road, and there are cones and labour paraphernalia everywhere.

Yeah I do completely see everyone's point here its just from experience on occasions I've gone through these 50 areas on motorways where 1 day the road has cones on there are no workers and no restricted speed limit and the next its exactly the same but with a restricted speed limit. It was just something I thought we should consider before judging him
MrSpaM Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Didn't realise it was an instant ban for driving 29mph over the speed limit
MPH Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Didn't realise it was an instant ban for driving 29mph over the speed limit it isnt - he got 6 points for it which took him up to 12 points.... so its his own fault really.... find it a bit annoying he got the ban reduced.... didnt realise trains and taxi's dont go to the area his family live in....
Number 6 Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 The ban was not for this single event. He was on 6 points already? Obviously not a first time for him. Pretty poor that this has been reduced tbh.
ajthefox Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Don't know anyone can defend this, it's just ridiculous.
brockmyster Posted 21 November 2011 Posted 21 November 2011 Im sure i saw him getting interviewed just after sven was sacked, whilst he was sat in the driving seat of his car
StanSP Posted 21 November 2011 Posted 21 November 2011 People giving the ignorance/roadworks excuse. The motorway speed limit is 70mph, so even if roadworks weren't in place and regardless if it was a 50mph zone or not, he was still doing over the limit .
accessory Posted 21 November 2011 Author Posted 21 November 2011 Im sure i saw him getting interviewed just after sven was sacked, whilst he was sat in the driving seat of his car If you read the article, you'll see the ban was imposed on 4 November - a full 11 days after Sven was sacked.
brockmyster Posted 21 November 2011 Posted 21 November 2011 If you read the article, you'll see the ban was imposed on 4 November - a full 11 days after Sven was sacked. That makes sense then
