Knighton Matt Posted 28 June 2005 Posted 28 June 2005 I just drove from sheffield to leicester on the M1 and met the storm full in the face. I got a spectacular view of some lightning in the Derbyshire area (MWAH HA HA! MUST BE GOD'S WORK!) but wasn't so fun driving through the eye of the storm!

Hitesh Posted 29 June 2005 Posted 29 June 2005 WOW! That was a huge storm last night. Our whole estate (bout 150 houses at least!) lost power from 10PM till about 1AM. The storms went on for about 2 hours, maybe longer but i fell asleep. Its strange how much we reply on power. Our fridge freezer obviously went off and we couldnt do anything! We had candles and ended up reading books! I was listening to my MP3 player so it wasnt that bad.
