The Bible is also open to interpetation depending on your lifestyle so Muslims are no different to Christians in that respect There are probably a lot more moderate Muslims than extreme who get all the headlines and the bad press.

But you simply cannot claim to hold a certain faith when all you do is ignore the bits in it that do not suit you. Why bother claiming to being a Muslim when you break their most sacred commandments ? This guy I presume goes to his mosque and pretends to be a devout Muslim then goes home and goes on the piss. that my friend is grade one hypocritical behavior.

I take it that you must be a Muslim yourself and believe that all infeidels should be executed,women should wear burkahsthieves should have their hands chopped off, gays should be shot and it's OK to fly airliners into tall buildings. That may a little extreme I know but it is only one type of Islam as there are many types of Christiananity. I have put up a couple of videos in the video section. One shows a preacher throwing hush puppies at a image of the devil and another of a bloke on the street holding up placards which said things like 'Women should not be allowed to vote' and 'Godly men do not have long hair' He was nearly bald btw. Where in the bible does it say you should throw shoes at images of the devil? The preacher must have believed it was what he had to do. All the congregation did the same so he convinced them. Was he right or wrong? Then there are those that devote their time to helping others. Still religion but different interpretations of their faith. I do not follow any but I think it's more hypocritacal to go to church regulary pray to a 'God of love' then come out and go round saying things like 'Send all foreigners home' or 'All Muslims are terrorists' I'll say no more on this subject.

My neighbour downing a lager or two does not make him any less a Muslim than the bloke with a bomb strapped to his chest just a safer one to be near when the bomb explodes. As I said he told me that God wants him to be happy. I also want to be happy but as an athiest I don't seek permission first.

If that question was put to a Imam by a female she would be lucky to get stoned to death. And if God wants your friend to be happy then god should have a word in his ear and tell him to reject all religion and be truly free. Having to follow that pile of shit as a religion would be enough to drive anyone to drink so I guess your muslim mate has an alibi. Can't see where either of my posts contradicted themselves ? I still maintain that four girls attacking a single girl in the street without any provocation should carry a mandatory prison sentence. So no I don't think their sentence was to quote you " satisfactory " hence my critism. It was nothing personal just a point of view on a web site debate that is all.
