liamsm Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 It's not the judge that was wrong, it's the guidelines they are given. Unfortunately many of the people signing it probably have been whipped up by the headlines without actually looking at the details. A friend of mine was nearly killed in an attack the the guy responsible only got a two year suspended sentence. I didn't see people signing any petition for him, probably because they were both white and the Daily Mail didn't highlight a part of the defences case.... that didn't make any difference. If there had been no headlines it is obvious people would not be outraged as they would not know about it. I agree your friends attack was not published as much, but this was 4 against 1 and it was the comments the judge supposedly made about being muslims and not used to alcohol that has stirred this up as much as anything else

I agree your friends attack was not published as much, but this was 4 against 1 and it was the comments the judge supposedly made about being muslims and not used to alcohol that has stirred this up as much as anything else You have just proven my point. The judge never mentioned the fact they were muslims and weren't use to drinking. It was just part of the defence teams argument, and the judge from what I can see never mentioned it in any part of his summing up. Look at the Daily Mail headline "judge hears 'they weren't used to drinking because they're Muslims' and then in the copy "A gang of Muslim women who attacked a passer-by in a city centre walked free from court after a judge heard they were ‘not used to being drunk’ because of their religion." It is the newspaper that has decided the reason they didn't receive a prison sentence was because of the muslim comment, when in reality it actually had nothing to do with the sentence,
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 I have not read all the replies as it sickens me that these 4 RACIST THUGS got off by saying they had been drinking, so i'm not sure if anybody has mentioned this but surely if you are on dialysis 3 times a week surely it is stupid to drink alcohol, and who has actually proved that it was the first time they have drunk alcohol, or even if they had drank enough to impair their thoughts. I bet the judgement would have been different if the person assaulted was from a well to do family. What next getting away with drunk driving. OY BRAIN DEAD, " reads and checks the facts first " then read my posts, i have never said they were not CONVICTED, and IMO they did get off (by reciving a very small punishment for the crime commited ) The fact i put about your MAXIMUM SENTENCE being wrong (if you had bothered to have read it properly) was for ABH nothing to do with racism. TRY READ ING AND DIGESTING BEFORE YOU COMMENT NEXT TIME, BECAUSE I HAVE REALISED YOU REPLIES ARE NOT WORTH READING SO I WONT BOTHER READING ANYTHING ELSE YOU WRITE . GOOD-BYE HAVE A NICE LIFE You have called the 4 racist thugs. They were not convicted of Racism and you have absolutely no idea whether this is true or not. If you bother to read the WHOLE thread you would see that there is a link to a blog from a lady that used to post on here and is now a solicitor. Try reading it and then comment on the sentencing of the women. Words do fail me with people like you. Do you have any facts to back up your ramblings? No probably just read a wholly inaccurate report in the Sun. You seem like a Sun or Mirror man.

Koke Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 Can't we all just get along? I'll buy you all a drink at the Boxing Day home game. [no street brawls though, yeah?].

Babylon Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 Ok i'll admit i made a mistake in saying it was the judge when it was the defence team, Papers are very good as spinning a story. They present the facts in a certain way, in the attempt to make people believe what they want you to. The most important parts of a lot of stories are what's between the speech marks "......". A large percentage of the rest is just the opinion of the person writing it. Papers and their reporting are one of my favourite gripes
Raj Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 Dont care about the ins and outs and legal stuff what went on(Or didnt go on evidently!)but the 4 girls(dont even care that they are somlians) should have been jailed and the tram girl should have just been repremanded. Stupid legal system!!
Christoph Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 The daily mail...spinning a story to make muslims sound bad? I simply do not believe such a thing
Finnegan Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 Can't we all just get along? I'll buy you all a drink at the Boxing Day home game. [no street brawls though, yeah?]. Sod it, not bothered then.
flowwolf Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 Can't we all just get along? I'll buy you all a drink at the Boxing Day home game. [no street brawls though, yeah?]. As you are a Muslim I presume it will be a non alcoholic drink, in which case thanks but no thanks.
Amin Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 As you are a Muslim I presume it will be a non alcoholic drink, in which case thanks but no thanks. Oh dear, what a wally.
flowwolf Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Oh dear, what a wally. Explain why ? it is not good enough to put Oh dear what a wally is it unless you are so monosyllabic you don't even know yourself. Please note I did not call you a cretin though you clearly are.
Rincewind Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Not all Muslims are abstainers. My neighbour is a Muslim. He smokes drinks cans of lager and looks at porn mags. He has even indulged in drugs. His reason? God wants him to enjoy himself. Other Muslims believe the opposite. Much the same way in that not all Christains quote the bible in every other sentence or a Catholic does not use contreception.

Bloody good job for him that he lives here and not in a Muslim country then. What a bloody hypocrite he is then. Stating he is a Muslim and then doing every thing opposite to what the Muslim faith says. mind you he is not on his own with this Islamic hypocrisy is he ?
Rincewind Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 I think you completely missed the point I was making. Although sadly you are not on your own in thinking the way you do.

Rincewind Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Where in the Holy book does it say you cannot have a bottle of Firsty Ferrett?
I am Rod Hull Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Where in the Holy book does it say you cannot have a bottle of Firsty Ferrett? Book of Inland Revenue, chapter 8, verse 4... "And if thou doesth get arseholed much and enjoyeth a tipple, thy willeth be taxed to the high nine`s"
