Bilbo Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Some of you so called 'fans' are the disgrace. I bet you will all be saying 'we are going up' the next game we win. I am genuinely shocked that some of our 'fans' have stooped to Forests level. Get ****ed all you pessimistic twats and dont come back when we beat ipswich. Cnutssss Coming from you, the guy who constantly slags players off. Anyone would think Bamba had banged your Mrs.
DanTheFox07 Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 The only people who are "keen" to get on the players backs are ****ing wankers. The rest of us really, really would rather not do it, but when it's become blatantly clear that they're a pile of steaming shite yet again then it's very difficult to refrain... At the end of the day, player`s are only human and when expectation ride`s high on there shoulder`s from the support we are in a way to blame partly! Id also think that most proffesional`s would come off after a game like that and tell themselves that they haven`t performed to the best of there ability. Too many people demand success from our team, when the reality is that there are a lot better team`s in this league than us! we have to take this result on the chin and look to get a positive result before january, I feel many of us should accept that Another season in the championship for our club is looking like a reality. Unofrtuneatly result`s like this hurt but looking at it long term where we all want to be in contention for promotion to the premiership, however id rather be prepared for the prem than uprepared and that`s clearly what this club is at the moment. Nigel Peason need`s time to get the team playing how he want`s and has inherited a lot of player`s no doubt he does not see fitting in with his long-term plan`s for leicester city, in the meantime I think we all have to have a bit more patience. keep the faith!
Corky Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 We lost today... We get up and look towards next week. The over reactions on here are pathetic, we sound like Man Utd fans who think they have the God given right to win every match. We don't have a God-given right to win every match, however if you think that losing to a side that only Coventry are worse than will not bring a strong negative reaction then you underestimate the feelings of the support.
Guest bennytwohats Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 By that logic, it should have a positive effect when we get behind them, but as we all know from experience, that's absolute bollocks. Maybe if we had a better team, that might help. People don't shout abuse at them constantly at games, home or away. At home we have a lot of people who sit down and say nothing, and a small amount who just go there and moan. But there's no point moaning about a minority, is there? Well yeah because it;s the minority that get heard. Like i said before, i'm not basing this on nothing. Time and time again I've seen their heads drop and the confidence go, nobody wants the ball, we look shakier - the atmosphere gets tense as ****, helps nobody - and I don't understand some peoples sense of entitlement, that doesnlt mean i don't care. And no, that's flawed logic, it doesn't follow. Nobody is saying that the team are playing well and we should all be happy. I just disagree with voicing that at the team during a game. And again I'm not saying that happens today, or that you do it, merely that it does happen, hence the original comment which you got all pissy about.
Frost Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Made the journey today, absolutely livid we came away with nothing. Personally I'd blame the midfield today. I've never been a fan of Wellen's, he simply isn't good enough. God knows whats happened to King, I genuinely didn't notice he was on the pitch until about five minutes before half time. Our midfield isn't of the quality required for promotion in my opinion, its so disappointing. We should've woke up after we conceded the first, not the second. Once we went behind we looked like we'd score, easily had enough chances. Peltier is absolute class, we'll be lucky to hang on to the lad, another solid performance. No need to ring alarm bells, but I'd say automatic promotion is pretty much out of the window. Play-offs are obviously a realistic achievement, but if we continue to be as inconsistent as this we can kiss goodbye to them. Nigel has a lot of work to do with this squad. I'd start Danns in central midfield next game & drop King, who's been shite. Oh, and our atmosphere was piss poor, was about me and four other lads at the back trying to get some songs going, rubbish. One of them even shouted 'Are we gunna fxcking sing?' - about right as well. Rant over.
Guest Col city fan Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Couldn't agree more Corky. The moaning is not really about the loss, I think it's more about the manner in which we lost that grates so much. And the poor performances that were put in by so many players. This is a football forum.. People wil voice their opinions, whether positive or negative.
lcfcadam Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 At the end of the day, player`s are only human and when expectation ride`s high on there shoulder`s from the support we are in a way to blame partly! No!!! ****ING NO!!! ARGH IF I HEAR ANYTHING ELSE LIKE THIS I'M OFF TO END IT ALL. keep the faith! Oh heavens.
Callabinho Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 We were beaten by an excellent strike from Billy today, but the cracks are evident, however we can't blame Pearson for reverting to some Elements from his team, for instance Wellens and co. It's fairly easy when you walk in to a new club wih a new batch of players, but because pearson has been here before, meaning he can resort to going back to certain things he knows. I do not think king or Wellens are better players than Fernandes, Danns or Johnson and maybe Pearson doesn't either, but I'm guessing after our latest showings he will change it. He isn't stupid, I think he wanted to tread carefully when on his return and not unsettle the side too much, I do think automatic promotion is out of the question, however we can harbour hopes of a play off place! We can't start questioning big Nige just yet, wait until he has a chance to bring one or two faces in, he will sort us out!
DanTheFox07 Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 No!!! ****ING NO!!! ARGH IF I HEAR ANYTHING ELSE LIKE THIS I'M OFF TO END IT ALL. Oh heavens. off to end it all....! oh dear
Kitchandro Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Well yeah because it;s the minority that get heard. Like i said before, i'm not basing this on nothing. And again I'm not saying that happens today, or that you do it, merely that it does happen, hence the original comment which you got all pissy about. Of course it gets tense when we are playing shite, as it does with almost all groups of fans in this country. Having said that we still got behind our team even when we were losing today. You said our fans are shit, fact. And now you admit that it's a minority. So our fans are shit because of a minority. So really, wtf are you talking about? Don't backpedal. There are some people who always try and shift the blame to the fans and I'm not having it any more, maybe we should just have no fans and leave the players to do what they like whilst getting paid for it.
lcfcadam Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 off to end it all....! oh dear Not because of the match. Because of how tragically annoying it is to have to hear people suggesting that the support is in some way responsible for the players' poor performances. Even if that was actually the case, then it would be an example of spectacular patheticness.

Oh right because boo-ing isn`t negative and doesn`t affect a player`s motivation!!! if you don`t think it does then your mistaken! that`s what im trying to get at!
lcfcadam Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Oh right because boo-ing isn`t negative and doesn`t affect a player`s motivation!!! if you don`t think it does then your mistaken! that`s what im trying to get at! Please inform me: at what point during today's match (if you were in attendance, as I was) did you hear any "booing"?
Kitchandro Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Oh right because boo-ing isn`t negative and doesn`t affect a player`s motivation!!! if you don`t think it does then your mistaken! that`s what im trying to get at! Well there's no proof that it does. Wolves got booed a few weeks ago when 2-0 down and ended up drawing 2-2. There are numerous other similar examples all the while. Not that that is the point, the point is the fans didn't boo during the game today and very rarely do.
Corky Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Oh right because boo-ing isn`t negative and doesn`t affect a player`s motivation!!! if you don`t think it does then your mistaken! that`s what im trying to get at! There was no booing during the game. There wasn't that much at the end. The away section wasn't a cauldron of noise but it also wasn't full of people turning up primarily to complain. The mood of the fans went with the pattern of the game.

Guest bennytwohats Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 were any of you at the west ham game? I was, great game, and great second half performance.
Cropwellfox Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Would normally be angry after a shite game like today but honestly I have never felt so indifferent. We are a ****ing joke - how Hull, Reading et al must be laughing. Pissed 12 million away, no guts in the team, tens of thousands a week wasted on players who we will never see, atmosphere at home games mainly shite. Bollocks to it. A bit like Wellens, I can't be arsed anymore
Guest bennytwohats Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Yes. Thank you. Who has said otherwise?
lcfcadam Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Bollocks to it. Honestly the best and most accurate thing I've read on here since getting back this evening
lcfcadam Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 One thing I will say: if anyone on Doncaster's team had to score against us today then I'm glad it was Billy Sharp:
seenitall Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Hate to say it (not really) but I'm sure we were in a better position when we fired Sven - Top is a goon and the anti Sven brigade have their dream of mediocre mid table no ambition football - another season wasted
coley1884 Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Really disappointing result today, but we created more than enough to win it. Donny didn't have much - just Billy Sharp who in fairness is absolute quality at this level. Got sick of watching the ball drift wide of the post in the last twenty minutes. On another day we'd have hammered them. But having said that, I'm afraid King was very quiet, and Pelts looked shaky - it was noticeable that he didn't push on when there were chances to do so. Howard didn't do a lot in truth. But there were positives. Beckford looked lively when he came on and Nugent worked hard all game and deserved his goal. I agree we're not seriously looking to challenge at the moment. I'd give King a break and see how we can introduce a bit more bite in the centre of midfield - Bamba maybe with Mills and SSL at the back. I also think we miss pace on both wings - Konch was ok going forward, but we've not replaced Naughton from last season on without Vassel, look laboured at times. Really hope we start to hit our stride again soon. There's going to be the best part of 8,000 at Florest for the cup - I live and work in Nottingham and so defeat is not an option...
