Corky Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Just a word about today's officials- how can you justify booking Howard for a challenge when he didn't even know the defender was there and in any case coming across him from the side, and not book two Doncaster players for taking out Peltier and Beckford nowhere near the ball? And the linesman near the away fans- when the ball comes off a home player it's a corner to the away side. The rules have been around for a long time. Were you not looking properly?

Agree with all that Corky. And isn't there a rule about when the keeper puts the ball down they can't pick it up again? The lino was very poor today.
Callabinho Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Really disappointing result today, but we created more than enough to win it. Donny didn't have much - just Billy Sharp who in fairness is absolute quality at this level. Got sick of watching the ball drift wide of the post in the last twenty minutes. On another day we'd have hammered them. But having said that, I'm afraid King was very quiet, and Pelts looked shaky - it was noticeable that he didn't push on when there were chances to do so. Howard didn't do a lot in truth. But there were positives. Beckford looked lively when he came on and Nugent worked hard all game and deserved his goal. I agree we're not seriously looking to challenge at the moment. I'd give King a break and see how we can introduce a bit more bite in the centre of midfield - Bamba maybe with Mills and SSL at the back. I also think we miss pace on both wings - Konch was ok going forward, but we've not replaced Naughton from last season on without Vassel, look laboured at times. Really hope we start to hit our stride again soon. There's going to be the best part of 8,000 at Florest for the cup - I live and work in Nottingham and so defeat is not an option... Stringer has asked Bamba if he would play in midfield, he said no CB is his position.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 To those of you who are saying our fans are shit, and that its our fault that the players are playing shit... Go **** yourselves.

accessory Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 We shouldn't really be too surprised about today's result. This midfield (all fair-weather players) was p!sspoor in December last year and - as Pearson should remember - the December before that. The Forest game is another fcuk-up waiting to happen. I wouldn't trust us to beat ANY side away from home right now, especially while the manc parasite and his anonymous Anglo-Welsh sidekick continue to be permitted to infest the team and any pitch they step out on. They've both lived off past "glories" for far too long and need to be ditched as soon as possible. If the manager cannot or will not accept the need to get rid, then he deserves to suffer the same fate as his predecessors.
Happy Fox Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Wellens is a f**king parasite and is bad work his egotistical nature is leeching the life out of our club we must get rid of him asap, once he is gone hopefully the other midfielders will go to.
Nick Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 We miss steel in the midfield - I simply don't believe you can play your way out of this division without a midfield enforcer and a creative midfielder with an engine that can tackle. Whenever we play 442 the back line is exposed to extra pressure as a result. We need different players to play 'the way we play' otherwise getting rid of SGE was pointless - January Transfer Window will decide our fate, unfortunately. Big Nige already will have his top targets identified - it just depends if he can land them.
Kitchandro Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Jesus christ, this is painful. Nobody is saying, or has said, that. People have been saying it all season.
Brooksy Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 It really is embarrassing to support Leicester City at the moment. Overpaid shit. Laughing stock of the league.

lcfc4prem Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 This is responding to noone in particular so dont take offence but I'm getting sick and tired of saying the same thing because most of you seem to do it every week! STOP MOANING! "Pearson out" "King, Wellens, Gallagher not up to scratch" "Defence cant defend" "strikers cant score". SHUT UP AND BACK YOUR TEAM! Pearson's had six games! He needs time to work with the players, install some belief and get us firing the way we want to be firing again. Quit trying to find people to blame. Be realistic and stop believing it's going to be instantaneous. We can go up this year of course, but its gonna be a slog at times. Be the 12th man and sing your hearts out rather than booing and mumbling and arguing with each other and generally throwing your toys out the pram! We need to unite, stand strong, stand proud and show the players an example of passion! Who are we?! We're Leicester City! Keep the faith and get behind your team! (Rant Over!)

We took the largest away support in the division AGAIN today - and look how we were rewarded. Our away form is p!sspoor and has been for months. Are we supposed to just shut up and accept that?

Agree, I know itys hard when you pay money to see a loada shit tbh at time! But I just think added pressure from fans doesn't help anything! By no means act like everything is rosie but pearson out? People thought he was god 6 games ago

EnderbyFox Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Although this hasn't ruined my Christmas as it appears to have done to some of you, it has definitely dampened my spirit as it's 30 odd quid which could have been spent elsewhere! Having attended the game myself, my thoughts are very similar to others as i share their puzzled views towards the team selection. I thought Beckford looked sharp against Peterborough, looking the most likely to score. I was a big fan of Howard a few years back but in my view he's entirely past it now, yes he did have a part to play in the goal, but this didn't make up for the countless fouls he gave away nor the amount of the game he spent on his arse. I continue to be confused as to why Schlupp isn't even making the squad at the current time when Howard is, and i really hope he gets some game time by being sent out on loan in January. I'm very concerned in our inability to keep a lead which has been highlighted in the last few games, we seemed to have taken our foot off the pedal when we scored, and didn't begin to pressure again until after their second went in. And even then we had enough chances to win the game, but couldn't take them. Next game i'd definitely look to drop Wellens, who again was the worst player on the park today- and i'm really starting to question why he is in the squad, let alone the first 11. Would like to see Fernandes and Danns in the middle, Danns may have been poor this season- but we are yet to see him in his natural position. I'm sure if we stuck Wellens or King out on the wing they'd be worse than he has been.
ACF Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Leicester fans are like pregnant women. Mood swiiiiiiiings.
Guest Col city fan Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 I agree with Nick.. The back four are being made to look poor because the midfield is so physically weak that they are being exposed time and time again. Law of averages dictates that they are gonna concede at some point because they have so little cover in front of them... Midfield hard man/ tough nut/engine..... I said it pre season and think it even more now...this is the type of player we need in that centre of midfield. in fact, if we weren't so over run in that department it's likely the 'creative' players would start being more 'creative' again. Gally would probably be a different player, for example, if he felt supported by someone alongside him who he knew was gonna win possession back when we lost it.
Guy Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Despite all the doom and gloom that's bound to follow such a defeat to a side one from the bottom (and the manner of it yesterday), there's still a long way to go still, such moaning as this is only temporary and I think it was further fuelled by the fact that so many went to the game yesterday too, a surprisingly high amount actually. If we win our next two over Christmas then this will surely lift the mood considerably. However if we don't then January's transfer window can't come quick enough maybe. Then again whatever players come in will need time to bed in too, just like Pearson still needs to for the next month or so. The only good thing about yesterday is that the results elsewhere seemed to go for us again and we only dropped one place to 10th and still have a decent +4 goal difference. That said, we're tied on 30 points with a whole host of other teams now and are only nine points off the bottom three! - yet still only six points from the last play off spot. This fact should still help attract a couple of decent players (a decent midfielder to take the pressure off the overworked and/or under performing one one we have at present...and another attacker...be it Billy Sharp, Nicky Maynard, whoever), especially with the wages they'll probably be offered.....
