dannythefox Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Why are we starting with Wellens he's has to go in January he's passed it!? And the same 4 in midfield with Howard and Wellens in our team its like playing with 9 men. Money has done our club nothing it's made it worse were no better than when Wayne brown was here FACT!
foxsake123 Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 i think we need to face facts this is not going to be our year to go up and hope that NP spends the rest of this season putting right all his work which was undone in the year and a bit that he was gone.
Happy Fox Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Surely NP must realize by now the midfield is shit, I am very worried that he is oblivious to knowing where the problems lie his continued selection of that same midfield is a joke.
RonnieTodger Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Jesus, the players are fully grown men not dribbling kids. A bit of anger in their direction won't completely stop them from doing what's required will it? They knew ahead of this season that fans, neutrals and opponents would fully expect Leicester to be up there. I, at the very least thought we'd be challenging for a play-off spot, which we still very much might. However, on the flip-side some of the comments on here are ridiculous. Thank goodness it isn't up to some of these deluded morons who if they had their way, we'd be left with Kasper Schmeichel, Paul Konchesky, Lee Peltier and Dave Nugent as our full squad. Please Pearson stop playing your ****ing favourites every week, give the others a chance as this is not getting us anywhere. NOTE: I'm not saying they should be sold or telling them to **** off

If things don't improved is he going to last to see next season? How long was his contract? I was under the impression the owners changed managers to gain promotion this season. I know chopping and changing managers doesn't help and that is what made us how we are now but how many times are the owners going to allow the manager to try and buy there way out of trouble? If I remember right topp said in his interview on Ssn that the new manager will have to work with what's he's already got and not have millions to blow in January.....
aylesbury fox Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 First time poster because I don't usually get so upset about our performances. However yesterday was an absolute disgrace. Midfield was an utter shambles and only one person to blame, Nigel Pearson. His tactics are so negative and I wonder why we ever went for him after Sven. He has done ok at Hull, but after he has left there, Hull are doing better without him as their new 'manager' seems to have a win attitude rather than Pearson's don't lose attitude. The problem is that Pearson is a dour, smug, and boring git who will do nothing for us. We need someone who has got a get up and go attitude, and allow the players to express themselves. I know lots of you are saying it's not Nigel's team, but we do have players who can play if they are allowed to. PEARSON IS A JOKE AND WE WILL GET NOWHERE WITH HIM. He is a money grabbing boring idiot who should have stayed at Hull. PEARSON OUT!!

Guy Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 i think we need to face facts this is not going to be our year to go up and hope that NP spends the rest of this season putting right all his work which was undone in the year and a bit that he was gone. Good factual post, I think nobody should expect to have a divine right to promotion and what's happening to our club atm is living proof that you can't always buy success (unless you're perhaps spending "real money" like Manchester City....or like Chelsea were before them in the Mourinho era!). Torres at Chelsea (£50m!!) is additional proof that throwing wads of money at something isn't always the answer too! Although I wasn't at the game yesterday I think all the negativity in the main has surrounded the (experimental, old times sake??) team Pearson put out yesterday and the attitude and ability of most of the players on show at Donny, whether Pearson's of old or Sven's signings. Most just had an off day from what I've read on here and this season in particular it seems to have been the case that we've seriously under performed against the lesser sides in the league yet competed well against anybody top half and upwards....our track record this season so far shows just that! The trouble for Pearson, having come back to an entirely different situation here to when he first arrived here as a newbie at the start of the League One season), is that he's still in two seasons ago mode for the time (I think everyone's aware of that fact by now!!) - evidence of that being as basically he played most of his old "favourites" yesterday that he backtracked somewhat with (particularly Wellens and Howard.....but perhaps Gallagher and Dyer too), better the devil(s) he knows syndrome I fear. I suspect this is basically because he's not had a sufficient amount of time back here yet to realise that most of the above aren't the same players that they were two seasons ago - but hopefully after yesterday's performance by the likes of Wellens, Howard and co., then he'll realise he's got to make some important changes for the next two crucial home games.....and play more of Sven's signings who he didn't seem to want to "risk" playing yesterday for reasons unknown!! Mills is due to come back now too of course, hopefully not to another red card on Boxing Day v Ipswich! Then it goes without saying that we'll have to spend substantially in the January t.w. if we're to even scrape 6th place! I still can't see us finishing any higher than last season's Sven-esque 10th for now to be honest, as much as though I'd love to be proven wrong........ If we fail to go up this season though then most neutrals will point to us and laugh. I think we're due a fair amount of stick at Forest on FA Cup day about our current league position - even though their's is worse! Again though it'll be geared towards the amount of money we've spent over the summer.

Is this the same boring smug git that got us out of League One at the first attempt, who led us to a play off semi final the following season, and has been left to sort out some very average footballers due to the fact that some boring negative git bought in 6 centre midfielders and then ran out of ideas when he had got to the last page on his "ex players" notebook. As for a money grabbing idiot, then look no further than Sven instead of NP, one of the biggest conmen in football.
Langston Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 I can't really disagree with most of what you've written but this is just rubbish. In Danns, we have a player who can get stuck in but cannot dribble or pass. Abe is lightweight and has no creativity. Fernandes has no creativity. Creativity is a mssive problem as it is. How often has Danns played in the middle for us? Don't judge a player you've seen in sporadic, out-of-position appearances. I've alot of Palace supporting mates who'd still kill to have him back there.

I will judge him from I've seen thanks, because I now know that he's not got the pace nor the brain power to skin anyone and his passing leaves a lot to be desired. His decision making is poor. No matter where we've been playing him it doesn't excuse his shite performances so far. He's not the answer ffs. And Palace fans aren't expecting promotion, they're happy to be midtable.

How you can judge a player based on appearances out of position when he's been consistently very, very good in this league for a long time is beyond me. Each to their own though.

Each to their own though. Because he's been dogshit. Out of position or not, he's been cack at pretty much everything bar getting stuck in. Ans he's NOT been played out of position in EVERY game, he's had 3 or 4 appearances in the centre and was just as crap. He was decent for a team in relegation fights, he's not up to the standard we need.
marbelladave Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 It's noisy on here...... The sound of pennies dropping is deafening...... We need a new midfield, woopy bloody dooo. Some of us have been saying this since march........
Bilbo Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Has anyone got the link to Pearson's interview after the match?
Extra Time Spike Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 You're right when you say Donny weren't much good but we are getting better as the injury list has now come down to just 16 in sick bay. We could have given a much better game if we had Diouf up front, he is good for another 2 goals, Chimbonda in defence would have helped to stop your attack from penetrating our defence, along with players like Goulon to add to strength and height in midfield. Hopefully next time we play we can put out a full strength team to make the game interesting. After knocking the Donny team, I assume you have similar injury problems as Leicester did look under championship quality as did we. So it was really Leicester reserves v Donny reserves which makes it a fair game. Lets look forward to having both first teams on the pitch for the reverse fixture and then we can all look forward to a good entertaining game. Good luck
Dan Posted 19 December 2011 Posted 19 December 2011 Finally decided to stick my thoughts up. On the whole, completely embarrassing result, especially from a goal up. The midfield are appalling, they really have lost it with each other it seems, individually some decent players but as a unit, woeful. Wellens I didn't think actually played too badly yesterday, controversial I know, he looked better than the last two games, but on the flip side, I think he'd need shooting if he wasn't, and those two chances he missed, to not even hit the target with either, jesus christ. I'm a Wellens fan but when you've got this many midfielders and you're performing like this, something needs changing. King, totally anonymous, being wasted in a defensive role, NP should use him exactly how he's used him in previous years. Gallagher, I'm getting really fvcked off now. Embarrassingly inconsistent, technically a half-decent player but offers literally nothing else, literally, nothing. A total luxury player, whilst he seems a decent character, I wouldn't be too down if he went, I've been a fan but ultimately he's a pure highlights player, and it's really fvcking me off now. Dyer, not good enough. Very quick and good when he's actually involved, but I can't remember a single thing of any use he did on Saturday, literally, not a thing. He'd be my third choice winger, impact player, then again, what fvcking impact did he have on that game? None at all. Fvcking abysmal. The defence weren't good enough, still nowhere near convinced by SSL, Bamba's had better games. Schmeichel, needs to do better. In my honest opinion, we were unlucky to lose that in terms of created chances, but even so, it's generally the sides down at the bottom who are often there due to the fact they can't take chances, so for us to actually lose to one in that way, absolutely fvcking worrying. This month is a complete write-off, what a blind utter daft optimist I was saying we could get 15 points, we can't even get half of that. The next two games I've accepted draws from, anything else is a bonus. One solitary point taken from Hull, Peterborough and Doncaster. That's what I'd expect from a side going down, absolutely shocking. Pearson's off-form himself too IMO, but even so, I still think he's working hard around Sven's falterings and I won't criticise properly until it's his own side making all the cock-ups, and I'm sure it'll pick up. It's just so annoying, I love the football at Christmas, this year it feels like there's almost fvck all to play for. Need to lay some foundations in the next two games, make a change or two, nothing drastic but definitely a change in the middle of the park. Get Danns in for Wellens, consider giving Abe a go, I'd consider Tunchev for SSL, or Mills, although he needs to fvcking sort his act out with his temper. Get Beckford back in for Howard, I prefer Howard's attitude but starting with him just shouts negative hoof-ball to me, it's not the way forward, at all, it's embarrassing really. He should be our last resort. Beckford though needs to do something, and fast. On the whole, a shocking result which anyone in the division would be embarrassed of, they've got some good players but I thought their team was shite, allowed us loads of chances, we should've won, let alone lost.
SuitedandBooted Posted 19 December 2011 Posted 19 December 2011 Can I just say a big thank you to Leicester for taking negative boring pearson off our hands, we now play decent attacking football and are in a better position than we'd have ever been under the boring one. Thank you, thank you. Have a good xmas
