bluearmy7 Posted 29 December 2011 Posted 29 December 2011 wondered if you guys had considered bamba being played in midfield , cuz for me he seems the only one with any flare and also when he makes his compulsary 2 or 3 mistakes they aint gonna be so dangerous my line up would be kasper pelts mills tuni konni ^ danns < gally > bamba dyer (for now) l nugent schlupp bamba given free roll to get forward and help out at the back, gallycan spread the ball to wingers aswell as supporting the front two basically mixing the midfield up to give lots of attacking options just an idea
smudger63 Posted 29 December 2011 Posted 29 December 2011 Quite a few people have suggested putting Bamba in midfield, and i can certainly see why. Given that we`re now going into the transfer window though, i would much rather we try and bring in a quality midfielder, different to the, "all the same type", of midfielder that sven brought in. Someone with a bit of pace, who can go past a player, similar to the likes of Mark Davies, when he was here.
SystonFox Posted 29 December 2011 Posted 29 December 2011 yes i have thought of this and i suppose now you've posted about it as well i may aswell give it a go. yours faithfully Nigel Pearson
leicesterseddon Posted 29 December 2011 Posted 29 December 2011 I'm very surprised people seem to think playing Bamba in midfield would be a good idea. The bloke's a bombshell waiting to go off, and has probably the worst touch in the team. The only player who's ever made me as nervous as he does when he's on the ball is Junior Lewis.
phillo Posted 29 December 2011 Posted 29 December 2011 were all saying we need creative midfielder and bamba doesnt fit the bill

Legend_in_blue Posted 29 December 2011 Posted 29 December 2011 Playing Bamba in a midfield four would not work. Playing Bamba in a midfield five might work. Go 4-5-1. Away from home. Can't see NP playing the formation though.
Jollie Posted 29 December 2011 Posted 29 December 2011 My mate suggesting this half way through the last game, nice idea. As Legend in Blue states though Nige wouldn't diss his mate Wellens by doing it though.

Entirely agree with this. Also on the day when we release Fernandez, who in my opinion showed that he could have been a massive player for us when he was given limited time, are we saying bamba is better than him?

acooling08 Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 This 'Bamba in midfield' idea is silly. He can't pass for toffee so how do you think he'd increase creativity or supply to the front 2?
breadandcheese Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 This 'Bamba in midfield' idea is silly. He can't pass for toffee so how do you think he'd increase creativity or supply to the front 2? I agree. I can think of nothing more ridiculous than playing Bamba in midfield. He does not have enough ability to play this role.
jprs1976 Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 would putting Bamba in midfield mean Wellens being dropped, then I for one are all for it and i would replace king with danns in the middle as well make opponents think about our play and not go its ok wellens can't pass and king will be invisible nothing to worry about
Dr The Singh Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Too many missed passes, will only frustrate!!
