woddyuk Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Goal "c" in the list. Sadly Everton v Chelsea not for City. Quality run of about 70 yards and cool finish, so whys it not happening here?

cardifflee Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 prob cause everyones on his back and slagging him off all the time
Fox92 Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 prob cause everyones on his back and slagging him off all the time I agree. I am sure I can recall he didn't score for ages for Everton, but I doubt the fans cheered when he got subbed during a match He needs the right partner, and the right service, and I am sure he will be alright within the goals department. Mind you, he was playing with better players at Everton though
woddyuk Posted 30 December 2011 Author Posted 30 December 2011 The whole team is underperforming. And beckford is this years alan sheehan/robbie neilson scapegoat. How johnson, fernandez and danns cant get a game in the midfield is beyond me. Wellans + gally too clicky and not creating for strikers. Worth their places for 2-3 wonder goals a season on present form??? Cant see the point being linked with sharpe and maynard again if we dont sort service out. Nugent and becks have potential to score shed loads. They were perhaps trying to hard to set each other up against ipswich. Becks willcome good. Hes not a crap player. I recall once upon a time most fans though fryatt was crap compared to golden balls, do no wrong hume. Then he came good.
Saxondale Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 prob cause everyones on his back and slagging him off all the time I seem to remember his now infamous quote "only weak people feel pressure" He may have built a rod for his own back there.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Good finish ultimately but I don't think anyone could claim that he didn't get a massive slice of fortune along the way when his miscontrol bamboozled the last defender, resulting in a very fortunate ricochet.
L4EV Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Very surprised it hasn't worked out for him, did well at leeds and with all factors considered did okay at Everton.
Corky Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Jermaine Beckford, scored a ****ing great goal, but not for Leicester because of the lack of service and the fact he doesn't get into good positions and a woeful first touch and no cohesion with Nugent and Steve Howard is better than him.
whitlock Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 ~Watching that video back, everything about that goal was pure fluke.... very small amount of skill in that, just raw pace.
Yojoe36 Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 And people say the midfield need to help him more. Fvck off!! He just can't be arsed to score for us
whitlock Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 A slight ridiculous statement but JB, looking back on a fair few youtube vids, has lots of luck on his side with goals, not all of them but doesnt seem that he has carried his luck over to us.

His most famous goal of all (at Old Trafford) resulted from an awful first touch.
whitlock Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Everything just bounces off him... Remember against Ipswich, ran the channel, no one near him but the ball goes out for a goal kick.
MPH Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 I seem to remember his now infamous quote "only weak people feel pressure" He may have built a rod for his own back there. I remember telling people at the time he didnt even believe in what he was saying himself but no one believed me... Jermaine Beckford, scored a ****ing great goal, but not for Leicester because of the lack of service and the fact he doesn't get into good positions and a woeful first touch and no cohesion with Nugent and Steve Howard is better than him. Err... 70 yard run, mate... no service needed for that...
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 I remember that goal. He very nearly ballsed that up. The finish was spot on but just look at the video on Youtube, he gets one or two lucky bounces before breaking through.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Good finish ultimately but I don't think anyone could claim that he didn't get a massive slice of fortune along the way when his miscontrol bamboozled the last defender, resulting in a very fortunate ricochet. Surely not . . . . . . .
