Saxondale Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 He wasn't in it for the long run - he was a Day Tripper. Pearson told him "We Can Work It Out" but he wasn't interested. He needs the team to Come Together. Anyway, forget about it now, it's all Yesterday.
5waller5 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Don't judge a player for what team he plays for. .. .... there does seem to be a correlation at least though doesn't there!!!! Like I played sunday league and Wayne Rooney plays for Man Utd .... I don't mind admitting that the scouts got it right .... he was good, I'm shite.
wellyfox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Shame we sold Lineker when we did. Where would we be now had we stopped him leaving.

glen parva fox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Quality! Pearson! Does not compute, he's making us into a championship side, short in quality but loads of effort, he will not make it in the prem
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 A journeyman? Is he 38? Why is this the qualifying age then ???????
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Quality! Pearson! Does not compute, he's making us into a championship side, short in quality but loads of effort, he will not make it in the prem Wrong !! He's trying to make us into a championship side full of players who want to play for LCFC with the quality to make it to the Prem !
blueharmie Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Quality! Pearson! Does not compute, he's making us into a championship side, short in quality but loads of effort, he will not make it in the prem Shut up cock nosher.

SeattleShane Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Think that's answered the question close thread please. So says you, perhaps other people on here want to read what other people think.
Fox92 Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 I don't get this slating on Pearson regarding this move. There were reports that some players wanted to leave when Sven left, Fernandes was one of them. And if a player doesn't want to play for Leicester City then I don't want him here, and Pearson doesn't want player's like that, regardless of how good they are. I'd rather have players that want to play and push the club forward.
Corky Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Why is this the qualifying age then ??????? You made him sound like he's coming to the end of his career, rather than being in the prime of it.
Christoph Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Theres no doubt the guy had talent but if you don't want to play for a club how much talent are you going to use? You're not going to want to track back, mark players or push forward if you dont care about your team, so really i'd rather have a player with a greater desire to play for us. However, it is sad he didnt get much of a look in, i think there was potential, but there was a lot of average games he played for us.
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 You made him sound like he's coming to the end of his career, rather than being in the prime of it. No i meant he's a "have boots will travel" merchant .................at the right money !!! LCFC meant fook all to him !
yag101 Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Quality! Pearson! Does not compute, he's making us into a championship side, short in quality but loads of effort, he will not make it in the prem Ignore the others mate, I fully agree. Pearson's well known for making decisions like these, even at other clubs. Take Tom Cairney at Hull for example, looked like a quality player in the prem, technique and skill were his main strengths, but as soon as Pearson comes in with his rigid 4-4-2 Cairney becomes a forgotten man, unsuited to the system and deemed to have 'too soft an underbelly' to carry on at the club, with Pearson preferring those with more work rate, energy, and strength. Need I remind you of one Max Gradel, a talented ivorian with a few tricks up his sleeve and an eye for goal, shipped out for 250k only to bag 18 championship goals and move on to top-flight Saint-Etienne within a couple of seasons? And his replacement, in Pearson's eyes, Dany N'Guessan? We had to pay compensation on him and have only made a direct loss in three ways, on the compensation fee, on the wages, and by having him in the team at all. Make of that what you will.
yag101 Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 By the way, it seems many on here need a bit of a reality check. Professional footballers are people, people who are paid to do their job, which is football. It doesn't matter whether they claim to play for the shirt, or if they're honest and admit they're in it for the cash, we would be too, after all the career has an early retirement age and as a footballer you'd be looking to make as much in your career as possible to have the most cosy retirement and never have to work again. So why is everyone here so sure that 'Fernandes didn't want to play for the shirt'? I'm pretty sure that he would've been delighted to get Leicester promoted in order to earn a big pay-off with them and play Premier League football week in, week out, but sadly, under Pearson, he didn't get a sniff of first team action despite being on loan until the end of the season, and volunteered to play for our reserves while he wasn't in the first team to keep himself in contention and match fit, but of course there was no intention for Pearson to work with the 34-cap Swiss international. Nor was there much going for Schlupp when he returned either as he was replaced in the team/on the bench by Howard initially, despite all the promise that Sven, the highly rated German youth teams, and Ghana national football team saw in him. We are wasting all the progress we have made under Sven (remember the grand turnaround after Sousa left?) and now we're going back to dire, percentage based, 'solid', cautious football, severely lacking in entertainment, style, and quality.
