mbmb10 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 I think Pearson didn't recognise the potential this guy had. I was watching ESPN last night and saw Juventus play Udinese and Fernandes was in their starting line-up in midfield. Udinese are 3rd in Seria A that's champions league football. Do you reckon we should have kept him till the end of the season?
Guest NGoloMode Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Don't judge a player for what team he plays for.
acooling08 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Fernandes was pretty good. I'd rather have Drinky though
Jon the Hat Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Potential requires a number of factors to be realised. Starting with actually wanting to play for the club and the manager. Neither of which appeared to be the case.
cc_star Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 He was only here for Sven, no other reason & anyone who doesn't want to play for the club can do one as far as I'm concerned.
flowwolf Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Think that's answered the question close thread please.
Petchy Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 I really liked him, but he was obviously disheartened when Sven left. Under different circumstances and all that, could have been a huge figure this season.
Dan Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Only Leicester could fail to give a proper chance to someone who's making Udinese's side. I don't blame Pearson to be fair, I feel he was a player we brought in who we didn't need, but he wasn't bad either. I do feel we've wasted him but it's such a strange transfer considering everything.
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 who gives a shite! he wanted out, hes out.. cya......
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Quality player. Didn't appear to get on with Pearson.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 He has moved on. Let it be. It's always Beatles songs with you, isn't it?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 It's always Beatles songs with you, isn't it? I was going to say the same!
Mack Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 I would suggest it was a missed opportunity FOR Fernandes. Had he shown keen once Pearson came in then I would suggest he would be in the first team now.
Babylon Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 I would suggest it was a missed opportunity FOR Fernandes. Had he shown keen once Pearson came in then I would suggest he would be in the first team now. Bingo!!!!! We have a winner, close the thread. The same could be said for stroppy centre halves.
Zingari Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 He has moved on. Let it be. I feel fine about it and I'm sure we can work it out . Going on about it will get us nowhere man
wakeyfox01 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 I would suggest it was a missed opportunity FOR Fernandes. Had he shown keen once Pearson came in then I would suggest he would be in the first team now. Hardly as he's now playing for one of the top teams in Europe rather than sitting on our bench. I'm sure he really regrets it
Darkon84 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 As soon as Sven went, Fernandes was always going to follow. He was here to play for the manager, not the team. Shame though, hes not bad, that kid.

muzzy1981 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Performing in Seria a doesn't mean he can cut a season in the champ or the prem for that matter. Perhaps he's found his calling. didn't think he did anything that amazing for us.

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 He has moved on. Let it be. I think he left because his girlfriend Lucy was in the sky with diamonds
