Blackburn signed him for 4 years for just £1.5m PVA & in particular Bruma were also reportedly very expensive as we many other signings going back to Curtis Davies etc How do you know how much Nugent cost? Sure he may have moved on an out of contract basis & no fee was passed to his former club, but do you really think there wouldn't have been other clubs sniffing if we hadn't offerede him a compelling amount? Urawa Reds have indicated Abe was on £2m/yr (£40k/week) and that was pre-Sven... the mind boggles at the packages some of guys must be on as we had to pay people extra to compensate for being in the Championship if Prem clubs were after them and a whole host of other things like signing fees & agents fees etc which will be huge Perhaps this is partly what NP meant when he said the squad wasn't balanced, sure he may mean no natural right sided player & only 1 on the left, but perhaps he meant a host of people on a couple of million a year and whole host of other people who aren't... that's sure to create a massive imbalance in the team Yeah sorry it was meant to be abit of a joke, most of my jokes this week have involved Michael Johnsons big money contract and burgers

Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is preparing for a busy deadline day after lining up deals for Barnsley striker Ricardo Vaz Te and Genoa forward Ze Eduardo.

As for blind faith, where does that cone from? Have a said Pearson will be great? My view is I doubt he'll create a team any worse than the one Scen did. Anyway it's funny that someone who loves Sven so much can actually come out with that statement.

I would agree but they don't really play atttacking football at home? Every single WHU Fan keeps going on every phone in radio show known to man in their cockney voices moaning about how Sam doesn't play "West ammm Football" It's so stupid their top of the league FFS! And the fact that we can't afford to lose Beckford now as he's getting a good partnership going with Nuge and we are short on Strikers. I doubt this will happen and don't want it too

What cracks me up is all the plonkers who came on here over last summer claiming that West Ham would have no money with which to rebuild their squad!! They wouldn't be promotion contenders, many stated, because they would be able to get nobody in! lol

Would make more sense in the summer if NFP has seen enough of him by then, (playing with the new signings) and we will have other players back by then and maybe even Hesky. Also don't forget this is the first time NFP has had funds to buy with.
