Babylon Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 I wish West Ham would just do one. Is there a striker out there that they're not trying to unsettle?! Dunno but I'd be more concerned if they were trying to buy Nugent.
Happy Fox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 I draw your attention to that Daily Mail article a while back http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2090786/Leicester-want-Anthony-Gerrard-sell-Matt-Mills-Sean-St-Ledger.html?ito=feeds-newsxml Manager Nigel Pearson wants a clearout of the expensive buys brought in under Sven Goran Eriksson and striker Jermaine Beckford has been told he can leave. About Mills and Beckford leaving maybe their is a foundation of truth in their
kingfox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 They want flaming everyone, they can get lost and go and hunt elsewhere. If this happens, I will be shocked, saddened and damn right frustrated that he hasn't had a chance to prove himself more. He has started to find some form, even in the last couple of league games he has played well. If this happens, it will be one bizarre transfer.
Babylon Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 I draw your attention to that Daily Mail article a while back http://www.dailymail...o=feeds-newsxml Manager Nigel Pearson wants a clearout of the expensive buys brought in under Sven Goran Eriksson and striker Jermaine Beckford has been told he can leave. About Mills and Beckford leaving maybe their is a foundation of truth in their Could well be judging by recent goings on. Although Mills always seems to be his first choice CB so I would find that one a bit odd. The logic behind it (i'm guessing) would be he wants to even up the wages of people. Having a couple of people on huge amounts more than the others may well damage moral. Have everyone feeling equal and pulling in the same direction is how he usually builds his team.
leicesterisme Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 If I was Beckford I wouldn't be too dissapointed with a move away from here. The way alot of our fans have treated him, what would equally piss me off if I was in his shoes would be the amount of loving he's getting off the same fans who were abusing him only a matter of weeks ago.
Babylon Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 If this happens, it will be one bizarre transfer. Depends what the money is. The guy has been terrible up until the last three games and he's going to be on drastically more than most of the other players. If Pearson wants to built a team, then having players on vast sums compared to the rest might work against that.
Corky Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 No, we shouldn't let him go, don't need a mad scramble to bring in a last minute replacement with panic bids.
EnderbyFox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Of course we can stop him, he signed a bloody good contract. Even if NP wants rid we'd need a solid replacement and it's too late now I'd gues. Contracts mean nothing these days, what ever we can offer West Ham can offer. And if Beckford wants to leave then he will go IMO.
undey Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 All a bit mysterious at the moment, Becks plays well when other teams are more likely to be watching or more coverage and this comes up then on the day we sign Wes Morgan, Matt Mills deletes his twitter account?
davieG Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 According to Bates he was offered to Leeds a couple of weeks ago.
cc_star Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 NP will bring his own people in over time, what's the surprise, think he'd be gone if Sharp wanted to join but seeing as we haven't got Sharp or anyone else, he won't be going anywhere until the summer, but I'd be sure he's going at some point
Happy Fox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 NP doesn't rate Beckford and neither Mills we aren't going to splash the cash like we did with Sven, we are going down the young talent route which is better for us in the long term.
dannythefox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 No way will this happen we have not got a replacement lined up why help a rival team out when we need him he's just starting to look good Nathan Delfouneso. Only here for 3 more weeks.
jimmer Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 According to Bates he was offered to Leeds a couple of weeks ago. I imagine on a loan basis DavieG? With the way they were playing a few games back, you can quite imagine Pearson wanting rid of big earning under perfomers. Also interesting about Mills Shitter account going.........Loves a bit of speculation me
bisto Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 If he's been on this site at all since he's been here he's probably got his bags packed already. If he does go it might make people think twice about booing people before they have had a chance to settle in a team
Babylon Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 NP will bring his own people in over time, think he'd be gone if Sharp wanted to join but seeing as we haven't got Sharp or anyone else, he won't be going anywhere until the summer. Everyone will probably hate him again then because he's had another shit 10 games on the trot, so the crowd won't be so restless on here. I think I will give this place a miss tomorrow. I trust Pearson to make the changes he thinks are needed. There are very few players I'd be annoyed about losing, he can flog the rest for all I care.
Babylon Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Sell, sell, sell. £5m please. Ha £5m for a player most would have been happy getting £5 back on 3 games ago.
Legend_in_blue Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 NP doesn't rate Beckford and neither Mills we aren't going to splash the cash like we did with Sven, we are going down the young talent route which is better for us in the long term. Where exactly do you source your information from with fleeting commments such as this?
Tielemans63 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 According to Bates he was offered to Leeds a couple of weeks ago. I think it was that a couple of weeks ago - Bates said that Everton had offered Becks back to Leeds when he was there.
