mackiepas Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 So radio Leicester just reported they'll be no more signings today but 1 or 2 may leave!!
m00nie Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 So radio Leicester just reported they'll be no more signings today but 1 or 2 may leave!! thats what stringer said on his tweet, hes still camping outside till its over apparently to check..
Danno Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Knowing Stringer we'll probably sign someone else now
Guest MattP Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 If we have just had a bid knocked back for Vardy he can't say that with any certainly.
davieG Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Shakespeare been quoted as saying no one will be leaving, I think stringer is just desperate for something to tweet.
Leicfox Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 If we have just had a bid knocked back for Vardy he can't say that with any certainly. The bid might have already been in place and it's only just become public knowledge.
Guest Col city fan Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 I doubt Pearson will want to sign anymore at present.. I think he's got his targets already
cc_star Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Think that's probably right, I'd be surprised myself IMO we're short in CM, where we could do with a short-term loan signing to provide cover but elsewhere we have plenty of players GK: Kasper/Smith/Logan RB: Peltier/Moore/Pantsil CB: Mills/Bamba/SSL/Tunchev/Morgan LB: Konchesky/Kennedy/Taft/Berner RM: Marshall/Gally/Drinkwater/Moussa (injured) CM: Drinkwater/Wellens/Danns/King (injured)/Oakley (Injured)/Moussa (injured)/Johnson (pie-eater) LM: Dyer/Gally/Marshall CF: Nugent/Beckford/Howard/Fonz/Hopper/Schlupp (injured)/Waghorn (injured)/Vassel (injured) Some other players loaned out too like Weale & Byrne etc Transfer window spending was £230m last year, with over £135m on deadline day alone, this year spending is £40m through the whole of the window as financial fairplay kicks in
Guest shearfox Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Expect five new signings and no one to leave then...
wellyfox Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Shakespeare been quoted as saying no one will be leaving, I think stringer is just desperate for something to tweet. Stringer is just desperate.
Guest MattP Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 The bid might have already been in place and it's only just become public knowledge. So we might follow up for with another one. Like above says....Stringer is desperate to try and convince us he knows doesnt fcuk all.
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 he blocked a kid on twitter for saying 'what does he know?' Typical Stringer. Complete loser
whitlock Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Stringer just trying to get listeners on the Radio, sort of in his job description.
m00nie Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Ian Stringer @StringerSport CloseI can confirm #lcfc have had a bid (believed to be in the region of £1m) for Fleetwood striker Jamie Vardy turned down. fk me hes stood outside in the cold all day for that, he could have read that on here earlier from the warmth of his home
dannythefox Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Radio Leicester know nothing its clear were still after a striker because a bid just been turned down from us for Vardy.
Guest Col city fan Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Radio Leicester know nothing its clear were still after a striker because a bid just been turned down from us for Vardy. bloody Hell, Fleetwood have turned down a million quid! wow
The Guvnor Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 If we have just had a bid knocked back for Vardy he can't say that with any certainly. Just heard on talksport that a bid of one million has been rejected by Fleetwood town, how the f>ck can a non league team turn that sort of money down.
Leicfox Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Just heard on talksport that a bid of one million has been rejected by Fleetwood town, how the f>ck can a non league team turn that sort of money down. Because they have a Chairman who is a multi millionaire, and we obliviously didn't want to loan him straight back to The Cod Army.
kingfox Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Like I said earlier Stringer and Shakespeare's comments are crossing wires. One says numerous targets, and no players will leave because of injuries. And the other says, no more additions but a couple may leave. But now Stringer has tweeted about Jamie Vardy, which of course shows we are still in the hunt for the player or players. I will only believe it if it is quoted by Pearson or Shakespeare themselves.
dannythefox Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 bloody Hell, Fleetwood have turned down a million quid! wow Yes to us and Southampton the greedy gits!
Guest MattP Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Just heard on talksport that a bid of one million has been rejected by Fleetwood town, how the f>ck can a non league team turn that sort of money down. Because they have a lot of money and promotion could be worth more than that, If I was them I'd be keeping him until the summer in the position they are in.
dannythefox Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Just heard on talksport that a bid of one million has been rejected by Fleetwood town, how the f>ck can a non league team turn that sort of money down. Because there is a good chance someone will put a higher bid in if not they will keep him anyway and he'll keep scoring!
One Arm Babba Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Surely if we wanted Vardy we'd get him. If our bid was in the region of a million and they turned it down it's not going to take too much more to convince them. They are non league FFS, I don't care how rich the chairman is. It's not right to deny the lad championship football by asking stupid money. No way on earth can a non league player command a fee of much over £1,000,000. We should go back in with a few more quid. (£5 and a bag of onion rings)
