Hollism Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 What a twit he is what did he expect to see Jamie Vardy and Susan whelan sharing a piri piri whilst discussing goal bonuses. I think he wanted to find Lee Peltier and see if he wanted a sleepover

Master Fox Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 You can't be that desperate mun. At least go to Doner Master. I've never been there. I just like the look of the place.
Finnegan Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 I've never been there. I just like the look of the place. What, Cyprus? It tastes exactly like you'd expect from the outside.
Spudulike Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Seems the Maynard to Wet Spam deal hasn't gone through yet. Might be haggling over the fee. Loving the stress on OTIB as they think he might be going for next to nowt

stourbridgefox Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 In the Summer we were linked with big name players like Heskey and Beckham, we also signed players with the pedigree of Michael Johnson and Michael Ball. We also splashed the cash, spending £5.5 million on Matt Mills and around another £8 million on top of that, if the press are to be believed that is. We were big news after a long time in the wilderness. This transfer window we have done nothing as exciting as that. We have signed a little known prospect from Man United, Danny Drinkwater, we have signed another young prospect from Stoke, Ben Marshall, and a proven Championship defender in Wes Morgan. With a bit of luck, with these more sensible signings, maybe our headlines will be about what we do on the pitch for the rest of the season rather than off it.

Yep, onwards and upwards, who know's we will actually get some entertainment now, let's face it if we don't there will be another change at the top and panic buying spree come the summer!
Master Fox Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Life isn't worth living anymore. Pass the shotgun.
RonnieTodger Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Bit disappointed, but maybe these low-profile signings will work well as they have very little pressure. However, I expected 4 or 5 signings. That said, Delfouneso won't be here long.
cc_star Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Good stuff all round IMO Got a CB who's experienced & can dominate... something we lack despite our recent clean sheets We needed a new CM & we got what looks like an excellent one We needed a wideman & we got what looks a very good prospect with great feedback from everywhere he's been We needed cover for our injured forwards and we got one, we can always extend if the injuries take a bit longer to recover from or if he turns out to be useful My only slight surprise is that we didn't get a CM in as short-term loan whilst there's so many injuries there, I suppose we can recall Byrne from Bury if needed or indeed enter the loan market should we need to. Squad has a much more balanced look about it now with Drinkwater in the middle & Marshall outwide. Signing 418 big names got us nowhere anyway, remember? Something not mentiond which is a major plus is that we didn't lose anyone eg Kasper or Bamba etc Jobs a good 'un!
mrmagoomc4 Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 to be honest if leicester play as well as they have been i can not see no reason why we can not make play offs or even auto promotion did we really need a big signing such as snodgrass or maynard ??????,,,we have vassel, bamba etc to come back in the squad morgan to help bolster a really sound solid of late defence,,,,drinkwater, marshell to add to midfield, i dont think big signing players help get you out of the championship but players hungry for sucess which is what pearson seems to bought,,,,im really looking forward now to the rest of the season not looking back....
MPH Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 k we have just had three cracking games in a row where we have played well in all of them... including totally outplaying a promotion favorite.. did we REALLY need any more big money signings....?
