The Year Of The Fox Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 So whats people's plans for Saturday? Those that aren't training it in, have you any ideas where to stop outside of Norwich for a few beers? Where are other people heading? Likewise fans that are heading straight to Norwich, where are you congregating? Any ideas on parking? We're hiring a minibus so aren't sure whether to have a few beers somewhere a few miles away from Norwich then head in about 2pm, or get into Norwich about 12 and find a few pubs. Either way, any ideas on parking will be appreiated. Look out for a few Leicester/COSG flags complete with 'high risk leicester fans on board' if you see a minibus!
Ashley Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 I'll be taking my England flag will also be at Watford tomorrow. 20ft by 10ft England Ensign with LEICESTER CITY across the middle and old city badge. If anyone sees me say hello Staying in Norwich saturday night too
Matt Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 Anyone organised where are we kicking off and what time yet?!
Jackirius Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 Best place to park is the £4 all day car park which is just up the road from the train station but you should be alright pretty much anywhere though. Couple of multi-storeys dotted about in the city aswell. Not really sure where away fans congregate anymore, used to be mustard pot and pretty much any pub on the side of the ground going away from the city.
LCFC FOX Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 Anyone organised where are we kicking off and what time yet?! Carrow Road, Norwich 3pm
Voll Blau Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 Compleat Angler was decent last time I went?
dreamteam Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 Mustard Pot is closed. Usual away pub is The Compleat Angler opposite rail station. Alternative close to Mustard Pot is the Coach and Horses which is a cracking pub for Beers and food, but does get very crowded with home fans (friendly if no provocation) Others close by. Queen of Iceni on Riverside complex opposite station. ( wEATHERSPOONS) Roccos further up on Prince Of Wales Road.

Cheers though we want to avoid any multi storey car parks what with being in a minibus. One lad was on about the pubs along the river?? Means nothing to me I've never been there

SaltyDog Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 We plan to arrive around midday... so will be in The Complete Angler until shortly before kick off...
jonlcfc1990 Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 I do hope none of our fans are wearing this fashionable farmers jacket nonsense or they're will get mistaken as a 3pm cow auction...
Tommeh Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 on the 8:15 so in Norwich for around 11. Pubs near the station I'd imagine will be the destination.
Jackirius Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 Cheers though we want to avoid any multi storey car parks what with being in a minibus. One lad was on about the pubs along the river?? Means nothing to me I've never been there There are loads of small car parks which offer match day parking, shouldn't be that hard to find. I haven't parked anywhere apart from a multi-storey for a while but there are a few dotted around. 'Riverside' as the area near to carrow road is called will have quite a few pubs open, there's a weatherspoons and a couple of other pubs around including the complete angler which away fans meet a lot of the time. But I would just walk into the city center (5-10mins) and hit a few pubs around there first and then just slowly drink your way closer to the ground.
wellyfox Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 Will the pubs be open for our HIGH RISK FANS to visit?
acooling08 Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 Let's focus on a game of much higher importance - Watford tomorrow. When we've won that we can dream about the Cup again.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 14 February 2012 Author Posted 14 February 2012 Speaking of dreaming about the cup, I've just dreamt we win on Saturday. Which means we won't now
1964FOX Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 Will the pubs be open for our HIGH RISK FANS to visit? They had better be or we really will be high risk.
SaltyDog Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 Speaking of dreaming about the cup, I've just dreamt we win on Saturday. Which means we won't now Of course we won't win it on Saturday like your dream as it's only the 5th round! Have a word with those little people inside your head and make them aware of how the Cup competition works
