Libertine Dream Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Stevie will never be past it, he's still as good as he was in 09 Proof: http://www.footytube.com/video/Leicester-City-vs-Crystal-Palace-3326
Guesty Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Of course he's past it. Not his fault that the powers that be haven't figured that out and brought in a younger target man. He is pretty much the only striker we have with any height.
RonnieTodger Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 He is past it, but most of us will remember him fondly for his goal against Leeds. It's the best moment at the Walkers/King Power Stadium to date, no question.
Guy Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 He has been a good player for us in the main, is old school and looks as if he still actually enjoys the game! I will remember him best for the success he brought us during the League One season and his contribution in the second play off leg at Cardiff in 2010. That said the silly billy got himself send off against Watford at home in April 2010 which lead to his missing the first play off leg against Cardiff, which we lost of course - had he played in both legs then things might have well turned out differently as Cardiff couldn't deal with him at their place. His suspensions and sending offs perhaps showed up the other side to his game. Now though he is clearly seeing out his time at City this season and I'd be amazed if he was still here next season. Could see him going back to somewhere like Northampton (as he still lives there). Surprised he hasn't gone to them on loan with Weale to be honest, maybe they can't afford his wages though......
ithuriel Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 When the colossus that is Steve Howard descends upon the field of battle he is like a titan ammongst the rabble, charging in to do battle but just like Hector there is an Achiles upon the field of strife ready to bring him crashing down with his whistle and cards.
SMX11 Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 I think this thread should be called "Steve Howard past it." rather than "Steve Howard past it?"
dannythefox Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Not at all, still got years to give. Yes in league one!
