Guest Col city fan Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 What's the point in this? We don't know who's gonna be in the squad next season? We don't know who's coming down? If its Wigan, Wolves, Blackburn, whoever... These clubs will be very strong at Championship level. There is no way that any of us, including Pearson, can have a clue how we will do next season and where we will finish. Not at present anyway. I agree with Spherical... It's the start of this seasons concession. Nothing more. It surprises me to be honest... Talk about 'raising expectation' all over again! This time it's started this season.

Well blame NP then he is the one to come out with such words
AdamN Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Pressure is already on then, notice it is his words not the Thais. Anyone at this club that isn't aiming for top 2 needs to quickly hop in a taxi to Peterborough.
Schlupp Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Fvck me, some people on here. On topic, we will up there next season. Forgot I'm not able to give my opinion.
Mission Unlikely Promotion Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Next seasons talk should start in May/June/July and not before. We have games to win this season yet . . . . . errrm hopefully anyway
Guest Col city fan Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Well blame NP then he is the one to come out with such words I guess he's got to publically show this degree of positivity. I'm not knocking Pearson.. I admire his managerial attributes, but I do think one of the problems this season has been the pressure we have placed ourselves under, let alone the media. To state the agenda is to be 'top two' again opens us up to being seriously criticised if we aren't there or thereabouts. Particularly if we have a bad start yet again. I'd personally be a bit more low key, at present anyway, but thats just me. Like this season, it's very likely that the top teams will again be those that come down.
Soar Fox Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 We'll have an inconsistent start, sack Pearson around October/November time. New manager comes in signs a load of players in January then a lot of people say the scrap the season off and let the new gaffer have a good Pre-season.
AdamN Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Forgot I'm not able to give my opinion. Of course you're allowed to give your opinion, it's just that some people think your opinion is fvcking stupid

Well put this way he is doing the Thais talking we all know anything less than automatic promotion next season will be fundamentally a disaster. Their is no reason why NP given funds this summer can add to a good nucleus of a side, that should see us in the automatic promotion picture.
Schlupp Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Of course you're allowed to give your opinion, it's just that some people think your opinion is fvcking stupid Yeah my opinion must be stupid getting rid of a manager who got 200k for Maxi Gradel brings in Ben Marshall who's ****ing shite. What was I thinking?

Patience mate I can think of 23 other reasons why we may not be in the automatic promotion picture. This type of thread came up last season, and I said exactly the same thing.. Until we have the summer, see who has signed who, looked at bookies odds.. Etc etc none of us with have the faintest clue how next season will pan out. As none of us had the faintest clue how this season would pan out.

Yeah that was kinda of the problem last season, because we were hyped by the club and the media as being the best team in the division with our spending etc
Dan Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Yeah my opinion must be stupid getting rid of a manager who got 200k for Maxi Gradel brings in Ben Marshall who's ****ing shite. What was I thinking? Are you on the wind up? What's all this "oh I'm not allowed my opinion", no, you're not allowed to dominate with it, if people think it's wrong then that's THEIR opinion too. Ben Marshall's been here for under a month, and you're saying he's "fvcking shite". Max Gradel didn't do it for us, it's as simple as that. Who would you get instead? Dowie?

Guest Col city fan Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Just watching the West Ham v Palace game.. Although 'The Hammers' aren't playing particularly well today, I have to say that they have done most of the right things this season. Like QPR last year, they have successfully blended youth with experience and have bought some very good signings. In Collison and Noble they have a young, bright midfield and any team that can have Carlton Cole on the bench is gonna do well at this level. I have no affinity for West Ham whatsoever, but it shows that the teams who come down from the Prem do usually have the resources to be there or thereabouts in the Championship. You can expect the likes of Wolves, Blackburn, Wigan? To all be strong next season should it be they that get relegated. I think the signing of Vaz Te on the left is probably gonna be the last piece in the jigsaw.
Fox1651 Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Why are we talking about next season? This season isnt over yet? Well maye it is but we still have points to play for etc etc
MrFox781 Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Forget top two for now. lets try winning two league games back to back first...
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 We will be up there next season. I wish I had a quid for every post like this.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 Top 2 will always be the aim if we dont go up, not exactly surprising.
HEGGSY Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 Yeah my opinion must be stupid getting rid of a manager who got 200k for Maxi Gradel brings in Ben Marshall who's ****ing shite. What was I thinking? How do you come to the conclusion that Marshall is shit on the basis of 2 sub appearances and 1 start
