NP says Top 2 is the Aim Next Season

We will be up there next season.

Well to be in those positions we need to be in the running pack straight away look at Southampton their first 14 games they had 30 points and were top of the league we need something similar imo. Realistically we need to start producing winning runs very quickly.

We need a decent set of officials week in week out.

Tough ask. lol

If we are Top 2 from the start of the season the refs will be decent to us

Would be nice but at this rate I would accept top 6

NP says Top 2 anything less will not be good enough.

We'll but up there meaning top 4 to get in the top two you need to be finishing teams off and winning games from behind hopefully something we can master next season!

Would be nice to see Pearson given a decent budget in the summer, we need to strengthen in midfield and a couple of class signings we would be in a great position to get into the top 2.

We have an excellent platform to build on and we won't need to go crazy with the signings like last summer

We already have a squad capable of a top 2 finish. We suffered from weak leadership at the start of the season and then the turmoil of changing manager and sorting out the mess that Pearson inherited.

If Nige sees a player who can improve the squad then I'm sure he'll sign him but the foundations of a promotion winning side are already here.

The nucleus of our side is Top 2 imo, the defense is sorted possibly RB being the weakest link, the midfield needs another winger and defensive midfielder, upfront a target man striker

Nigel with money will build a team capable of challenging for the top spots next season, it will probably mean a few more departures come the end of the season.

The players at present really are going to be playing for their futures here

Seems he as already started with Mills.

He's being realistic. And emphasising that we cannot afford to fall off the pace so early as we did this season.

It's still a bit of a catch-all statement. He refers to the shackles being off and the need to win games but he stops short of showing he really believes in attack. And his comments about the Derby game only emphasise the point.

Pearson's right not to give up on this season but to avoid increasing the pressure by suggesting any expectation of catching up. He's clearly looking as much to next season as this and will be intent on the sort of emphatic start to the season which marked our return from Division One.

The only thing about that season which disturbed me was some of our apologetic displays in the second half of the season when e didn't dare express ourselves. But we were a limited team and, hopefully, Pearson will make damned sure we have positive, effective players in every position for the future.

I have said this for some time now, get Pearson a summer with a good pre season, get rid of some players and bring in a few.

Apparently there was talk we was going Thailand for a tour lol Can't see Pearson wanting to do that at all, and I can't blame him.

When this season is over there are two players also we have to try and keep and some clubs might come in for them, Kasper and Nugent are the two players I can see teams trying to come in for them in my opinion
