Mack Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Not silly at all, they didnt win the Carling cup - a competition for the ENGLISH leagues, I mean, what the hell are they doing in our league anyway? They should be in the Welsh league, same as Rangers and Celtic are in the Scottish league. Bloody sheep molesters, I hate 'em. This. And their anti English singing at the KP recently compounded it.
Daggers Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 This. And their anti English singing at the KP recently compounded it. Because you never hear a single anti-Welsh word coming from L1 or away "fans" do you? Tch. Well not really. They've been playing in the English leagues for the best part of a century, and Wales is essentially part of England anyway. To the best of my knowledge they were in the English league system for quite a while before Wales actually had one, so I really don't see what the problem is bar some knuckle-draggers (Hi Mack) going "dey iz not in Ingurland, why do they play in OUR leagues?" Out of interest, do you whinge about Newport County or Wrexham way down the conference etc., or Berwick in Scottish division 2? Oh, and yep, let's laugh at a team that put in a remarkable, incredibly gutsy performance against a side much better than them, and only lost on penalties. How did we do again? So why don't'cha all grow up, get the **** over the play-offs and stop being such whiney little bitches. Love this post.
AyewJoking Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Cardiff worked hard but they didnt do themselves justice as do so many teams when they play in a final. Liverpool werent much better but its a trophy for Kenny Dalglish and their deluded fans can continue dreaming of the day they finally win the league.
Mack Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Because you never hear a single anti-Welsh word coming from L1 or away "fans" do you? Tch. But we are not participating in the Welsh league. Dont bite the hand that feeds you. And I dont hate or even dislike Welsh people, it's just the small minded attitude that pisses me off. I am heavily pro British, and I hate all the England bashing. Mind you the Scots are 10 times worse than the Welsh.

Filbert_Ross Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Cant stand Liverpool, jumped out my seat when Cardiff made it 2-2. Felt gutted after the penalties.

Mack Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 God save ou- BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Exactly.
Finnegan Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Exactly. lol Banter mate, it's banter innit!
Webbo Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 .Mind you the Scots are 10 times worse than the Welsh. The Welsh are more grateful to the English than the Scots.
Finnegan Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 The Welsh are more grateful to the English than the Scots. we just know we've contributed a bit more, what with centuries of archery superiority and top notch singing.

WE HATE ENGLAND, WE HATE ENGLAND, WE HATE ENGLAND MORE THAN YOOOOUUU! Sounds like a challenge.

Mind you the Scots are 10 times worse than the Welsh. I meet loads of Welsh and I've hardly ever came across one that hates the English, shitloads of them follow the England & Wales Cricket team and there were loads of them following British fighters like Hatton and Haye when I've been in Vegas or Germany. Sure there are a few still anti English ones but they tend to be these types who are stuck in 1981 thinking they are still fighting Maggie Thatcher while the rest of their country has moved on. I was supporting Cardiff as well......I'd support anyone except Celtic agaisnt Liverpool.
Finnegan Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 I love the irony of you bemoaning entrenched Welsh attitudes to the English whilst in the same post taking a generic, right-wing British, anyone-but-Celtic position. Superb.

Superb. I didn't realise hating a group of fans due to them glorying and revelling in the deaths of British citizens equates to being "right-wing" these days.... Strange times.

Strange times. They're a fringe minority that most Celtic fans are ashamed of. And the fact you hate Celtic for that but don't mention ranks of Rangers minority morons giving it fascist salutes basically backs up my point. Have your biases, your politics, sure. Just don't be hypocritical enough to justify your own prejudices whilst belittling everyone else's.
The Doctor Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Finners you ****-strap, stop making points I agree with.

Just don't be hypocritical enough to justify your own prejudices whilst belittling everyone else's. You mean Ulster hand salutes? I don't think it's a minority on either side to be honest, we both love it, we're all "90 minute bigots" when we play each other and we all behave like toerags. That said shanefully I've not actually been up to an Auld Firm game for 3 years now.
Finnegan Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 There is no such thing as an Ulster salute, it's a Nazi gesture that Rangers fans started doing with the Chelsea firms. Headhunters is it? The Ulster salute defense is just embarrassing and cringe worthy. But then again, so are English Leicester fans that refer to either Celtic or Rangers as 'we.'

It more cringeworthy making some pisspoor attempt to relate it to Headhunters or Nazism in desperation at getting the club in trouble.

Funny how none of the northern Irish I know (and I work in the building trade!! (/stereotypes)) have ever heard of one. And odd how it's never seen anywhere but Rangers games! I'm on my phone currently and can't dig up the link but Google it and you'll find plenty of honest, Glasgow, Gers fans perfectly aware and perfectly embarrassed of the fact its blatant Nazism.
AdamN Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 It's a pretty pointless debate, isn't it? It's clear that both sides have a contingent of knuckle-dragging morons (read 'anyone who perpetuates the political tension between the two clubs') and they're both as bad as each other.
