NeilyBoy Posted 20 March 2012 Posted 20 March 2012 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17443517 So Mancini's going to start phasing him back into the team. If anybody in a real job had displayed the attitude he has, not only would they be fired, but they'd also have a hell of a time finding a company willing to hire them - Tevez however has kept his job because City stand to lose too much from sacking him and they know many clubs out there would snap him up, completely unphased by his shocking attitude. For me the state of professional football is entirely deplorable; it can only be a matter of time before fans around the world have had enough of these bratty multi-millionaires who they fund lest we all forget. A fiscal revolution is long overdue.
accessory Posted 20 March 2012 Posted 20 March 2012 A desperate action by a desperate manager at a desperate club to please desperate fans. Most Manchester City fans would cheerfully pimp their kids if it meant them beating United to the league title. When this gamble fails (as it will) Mancini will disappear back to Italy with a payoff of millions and his successor will have a massive task of rebuilding morale among a divided and troubled squad. As we know only too well, some sugar daddies know a lot more about money than they do about football.
One Arm Babba Posted 20 March 2012 Posted 20 March 2012 A desperate action by a desperate manager at a desperate club to please desperate fans. Knowing both sets of fans as I live in Manchester, I couldn't disagree more. Man City fans are fully behind Mancini and if he's willing to accept Tevez back in to the squad then so are they. The smart man on the street says that Man City are being sensible and accommodating with Tevez, so that when he is sold they can sue him for breach of contract and loss of revenue. Mancini is a long term appointment, one thing that sheik mansour knows is that to emulate united they need to follow the formula. Which is why they are spending more money this summer in developing their academy to be bigger and better than Barca. I hope City do win the league, they've better fans than united and for most part of the season have played better football. If they lose the league it won't be because of the run in... It will be because of losing players to the African nations and others to suspension during January.
Mack Posted 20 March 2012 Posted 20 March 2012 Much as I dont like the bloke I can see him having a positive impact on their season. He is one of the best players in the World, and his work rate is incredible. Shame he is also such a turd.

There's no doubting his quality but nobody, especially a self-loving shit, should be making what he does - it's his ridiculous pay that's made the whole fiasco possible in the first place since he can easily afford to fvck off and have his pay docked. I'll bet all he's learned from this is he can go chill out in Argentina whenever he god damn likes.
Corky Posted 20 March 2012 Posted 20 March 2012 I agree with you, but if he has turned his relationship around with the manager then they've got a class player on their books who is available.

That and his misses may have a face like a well slapped arse, but she still sucks a better cock that any of the slappers he has had around Manchester.
AyewJoking Posted 20 March 2012 Posted 20 March 2012 So what? Tevez is a brilliant footballer and Man City can afford to piss away millions of pounds. Let me know when Man City fans boycott the club and the stadium is empty, maybe things will change. (oh yes, that wont happen)
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 20 March 2012 Posted 20 March 2012 I guess Tevez is back in the picture as a last throw of the dice in the race for the title, every chance City could end up trophyless this season and where does that leave Mancini?

The smart man on the street says that Man City are being sensible and accommodating with Tevez, so that when he is sold they can sue him for breach of contract and loss of revenue. Like they didn't know what he was like at his previous clubs.. Mancini is a long term appointment, one thing that sheik mansour knows is that to emulate united they need to follow the formula. Which is why they are spending more money this summer in developing their academy to be bigger and better than Barca. Barcelona have spent decades building and developing their academy. Neither Sheikh Mansour nor the fans will accept waiting that long. I doubt whether any youngster from the third world is going to choose City over the Camp Nou. I hope City do win the league, they've better fans than united and for most part of the season have played better football. If they lose the league it won't be because of the run in... It will be because of losing players to the African nations and others to suspension during January. Because no other team in the league have had to deal with issues like that, have they? Nothing like getting the excuses in first... The Premier League is a marathon, not a sprint, as we've seen many times.
Guesty Posted 20 March 2012 Posted 20 March 2012 Lots of Man City fans were calling for him to be booted when he was spouting off about Manchester being a shithole. They seem to have changing their tune now. Would have been nice if they'd just gone head to head with him and finally put a stop to player power. They are one of the only clubs that could afford to do so and I think would have gained a lot of respect worldwide, even if they'd lost. I can understand why they're bringing him back. He is quality, but theres no gaurantee he will perform to his best. If he does half-ass it then it will make Mancini and Man City look stupid and weak. But then of course he could come back smash in 10 goals in 8 games and be their saviour, in which case Mancini will be praised. As much as I don't want Man U to win, can't say I wouldn't laugh if he does come back and it all goes tits up.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 20 March 2012 Posted 20 March 2012 Getting worried about bottling it even more then..
NeilyBoy Posted 21 March 2012 Author Posted 21 March 2012 From today's BBC article on the matter (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17455933): View from City fans Ena Parkinson: " Carlos Tevez is about Carlos Tevez. If Tevez comes on this evening I will leave the stadium. I believe he has totally disrespected everything about the club that is so close to our hearts." That's a true fan. If I was a (Man) City fan I'd be of the exact same opinion. You can't listen to a guy slag off your City then welcome him back with open arms. A lot of the City supporters are deferring to Mancini and saying "if he thinks he should play then I agree" as a sort of get-out clause for thinking logically about the man and what he's done. They already have to deal with accusations of buying their way to success, you'd think they'd jump at the chance to show they're normal fans like us with a bit of common sense and that it isn't really all about the money and the results for them. Very disappointing overall.
Tielemans63 Posted 21 March 2012 Posted 21 March 2012 If he makes the difference between title or no title I'm sure City fans will get over it. He is a massive twat though - no question.
NeilyBoy Posted 22 March 2012 Author Posted 22 March 2012 If he makes the difference between title or no title I'm sure City fans will get over it. He is a massive twat though - no question. A guy on the BBC live text summed it up: "It's no coincidence the result switched after Tevez's arrival, he has class, it's a shame it's only his footballing skill and not off the field. What a game" I don't think I'll ever not be mad that he's allowed to get away with the whole farce.
