m00nie Posted 28 March 2012 Posted 28 March 2012 just because we think the season is over dont mean we still cant go and enjoy the game for what it is, a football match.. always makes me laugh when people come out with the "if you dont like it go support someone else, or do something else".
Guest BlueBrett Posted 28 March 2012 Posted 28 March 2012 I don't really understand this "I don't get my hopes up at the risk of them being let down" attitude a few seem to be labouring under. Are you really saying that you don't feel as disappointed as the rest of us when we lose? Or that before a game you aren't willing us to win just as hard? And if that is the case and you really are steady old realists, how do you explain the incessant whining and streaks of outrage when things don't go our way? It certainly isn't us optimists starting all the season over threads - but then surely all you sage old seenitbeforers should know better?
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 28 March 2012 Posted 28 March 2012 Even if/when it's mathematically impossible to make the play offs, the season isn't over. They should play to the final whistle of the final game and try and get some momentum to take into next season. Let's say we take 15 points from the last 21 and don't make the play offs. It will mean we've had a *decent* 2012 if not a *decent* overall season. I always look for positives. But I am also a realist. We live in a world where a player is only 45 minutes away from being booed, labelled as sh*t, should be sold etc.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 28 March 2012 Posted 28 March 2012 I'm moaning about people moaning about others who are moaning at our fans moaning. I think...
MattGamble92 Posted 28 March 2012 Author Posted 28 March 2012 I haven't moaned they are moaning. Im asking why there isnt any positivity coming from these people.
Daggers Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Why do people get married if their going to have an argument now and then? Football is a love hate relationship Only real couples get married - to be a proper husband you have to be prepared to sacrifice nights out with mates for a life of endless Jennifer Anniston romcoms and arguments about paint in B&Q. It's plastic partners who expect everything to be sex and champagne until death do they part.
Daggers Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 ...err, but don't mention Webbo's 'plastic partner'. She went down on him and he's never recovered.
ozleicester Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 The reason i moan is BECAUSE i support Leicester City, week in week out they fvck with my head. BUT... that is what supporting Citeh is about. You see what i shouldve done was be brought up a rugby supporter
Finnegan Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Happy clapping is for simpletons. If you love this country, stand up to those who would destroy it. Protest is patriotism.
Bert Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 I'm moaning about people moaning about others who are moaning at our fans moaning. I think... It wasn't directed at you!
dave the caveman Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 So what you are saying is that I am not a real fan because I am optimistic that we will beat Peterborough Saturday, and every game I go to or watch or listen to I am optimistic we will win. You really are a tit aren't you. No, that's definitely not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that those of us who have felt the pain of disappointment tend to become more realistic. Beating Peterborough ON Saturday is realistic. Achieving the table topping form required from here on in after a season of woefull inconsistentcy simply isn't.
cityfanlee23 Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 I can just see james corden screaming this at the leicester players at half time, Hitting his head of course!
MrBojangly Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Will you kids please just pipe down, or I'll get your father to turn this car around
