Nugent has had 105 shots and scored 15 (1 in 7) Beckford has had 62 shots and scored 8 (1 in 7.75) Gally has had 36 shots & scored 8 (1 in 4.5 and taking his pens off it still better than 1 in 6) Huge missed opportunity not playing Gally off the front-man (4-4-1-1) & a big oversight not including Beckford on the list... all just my opinion, of course.

It's conceivable that St Leger might be made available. In Bamba, Wes and SSL we have three very experienced CBs; I just can't see one of these three wanting to warm the bench and I suspect that Bamba/Wes is the preferred choice for NP. If there's a good offer for Bamba from the PL, and he wants to leave, I suspect NP wouldn't stand in his way however. I would probably say Beckford, if I had to pick someone to sell. I think he's an exciting player at times, but I just don't see him fitting in with NP's style of play - so we just might as well get rid while his stock is still relatively high. I think NP will want a target man - a Howard replacement. I suspect (hope) he looks to the lower leagues for this type of player (#nextgrantholt) - I'd prefer a permanent signing rather than a PL loan. Additionally, there really isn't room for both Gally and Beckford in the same side as you can only have one luxury player at this level. I don't see Gally going anywhere, whereas Beckford has that sort of Anelka/journeyman air to him.

I'd agree with that - realistically, the only ones without squad numbers will be those whose contracts have not been renewed. There's a fair few in the squad who are on a massive wedge (by Champo standards) at exactly the point in their careers where they couldn't hope for a better deal.

I know a lot of people don't rate Gallagher, but when you put it like that, I'm really struggling to work out what Beckford does for the team that Gallagher doesn't.

Think NP has made it clear on Pantsil has no future and i don;t get the Mills situation. Think we will take a big hit on him if we try to offload and cant really see many wanting to pay his salary. Would like to think he gets another chance as we really don't know what has kicked off with him and the manager. No doubt it also is linked to who we can bring in.

Secondly, the poll is biased anyway, why are only a selection of players in the list? Last time I checked we have about 30players signed for us?

That is a good point, but this forum would be last place I'd want to look if I was one of the players myself. Edit: ..after Bentley's Roof, of course.
