Fox 4 Life Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 Definetly no to Kenton as below Leicester City have been rebuffed in their bid to sign Southampton defender Darren Kenton on a permanent basis. Kenton spent the closing two months of last season on loan at The Walkers Stadium and impressed in making 11 appearances. Foxes boss Craig Levein was keen to keep the 26-year-old at the club, particularly after seeing his rearguard depleted over the summer. But Saints knocked back the enquiry from their Championship rivals as Kenton is part of Harry Redknapp's plans for next season. The versatile stopper has a year remaining on his contract at St Mary's and is expected to push for a first-team spot next term. Kenton has struggled to establish himself in two years on the South Coast, after joining from Norwich City, and will look to make the most of this second chance Also Tricky Trev has snubbed Mickeys contract offer at cov and gone to Peterborough!
Janx Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 Peterborough over cov 134346 you cant blame him... exactly how many times did MA play him when he had him here!
Janx Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 Good old Benji! Not a great player, but I love him! 134352 I would take him with me I f I had to go "over the top" to get back to Blighty!!
LoneWolf Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 but we had paul dickov, markus bent, david connolly, james scowcroft, lez ferdinand.... i thing all them are better than 'tricky' trev

LoneWolf Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 OOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW TREVOR TREVOR TREVOR TREVOR TEVOR TREVOR BENJAMIN!!!! , i used to love singing that!
Ric Flair Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 Worst footballer i've ever seen, how he's still commanding a wage i'll never know. Football managers and chairmans are mugs. Benjamin is a con artist, he should reveal he's not really a footballer and close the door behind him. For comedy value though he's up their with the best.

Put them together and you've got the worse striker force ever known to man and we had it for a whole year! Well done Pete, your one in a million!!! Benjamin is the only player i've ever seen that's capable of nutmegging himself on a regular basis.
Durnerz Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 Loved the guy in the promotion season but I think now he's found his level.

Mark Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 Bloody hell they've given him the number 9 shirt!! Trev's joined up with Ahmed Deen at Peterborough, a former youth team player here. At 26 years old, this is Trev's 11th club.. i'd be interested to know what the record number is.

Scow Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 Quite strange that Adams was viewing Benjamin as a decent squad player next season, then shifts him down 2 divisions in a matter of days.

Knighton Matt Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 Benjamin, 26, had agreed a new contract with the Sky Blues and reported for pre-season training. But he stalled on signing and has opted to join Posh - much to the annoyance of Coventry boss Micky Adams. Adams said: "He's been training with us for the last week and he has changed his mind at a very critical time." Benjamin told Peterborough's website: "There were other clubs interested in me and it was a big decision to leave Coventry but that is done and I am raring to go. "Coventry is a great club, they have a brilliant manager and I have got nothing bad to say about them. I just want to sort myself out and games under my belt."
Blue Arrow Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 from a low division Peterborough are my favorite club. I hope he does well
