My letter to top

I think the fear of 'breaking the rules' these days stems from two things:

Firstly, there are so many of them that no one never really knows what they all are. Health and safety, Human Rights Act, Policy and Procedure... Most occupations and 'events' are utterly riddled with them.

Secondly.. We reside within a blame culture. Should anyone 'break the rules' it's unlikely that many people will have the bollox to back up the rule-breaker. They might say they will and even urge the person to do something... Only to then back off and let the individual take all the flak.

I see it every day at work Dan, I go into meetings as a 'spokesperson' chosen to raise an issue, to frequently then find those around me suddenly becoming mute when put under pressure.

It's a difficult one this.

I'd rather sit in a football stadium feeling safe and not subjected to abuse of any nature, but sometimes I consider everything is so controlled that it stifles passion!

I really don't know the answer.. What I do think is that 'rules' will only grow increase in nature because the country is effectively run by lawyers and beaureaucrats IMO.

I totally agree with you but that's just the problem with English mentality, there is literally no country in the rest of Europe that would accept as much shit from the authorities as we do, absolutely no one.

Maybe I'm generalising but I do think the club's pro-family policy (don't even bother arguing it) will never help things like this purely because you're attracting more of the type who won't stand up to the shit.

Lets just see what the reply is tomorrow I guess.

They should get a group of 50+ people, give them free season tickets, but they have to go to the youth games to practice singing, they all then should sit near each other on game day, with mics up above to start the singing and keep the atmosphere up.

I people wont like that it would love the 'organic' nature of the football songs etc, but that approach doesn't seem to be working. So having a group that know all the songs, are mic'd up and motivated (to keep their free tickets), I think we'd be ale to get a great atmosphere.

Having said that, I am in the USA so I was only about to go to one game last year.

This is LCFC.

We've got about as much chance of getting 130 points this season as the club allowing anything like this to happen.

As much as they want you to believe they care about the atmosphere - they seriously don't. Maybe the odd one of two in there do but nowhere near enough.

I actually think Top of all people enjoys it, but maybe not in the same way a lot of the fans do, he seemed to love it against Man City based on his comments.

Yep. Those likely to want to stand up to it priced out the game and banned for the most trivial of matters too. Clubs should be sticking up for the 16-25s but instead they toss them aside.

Actually it quite good fun being tossed anywhere.

Less income for the club than families so they couldn't care less, it's actually sickening how insignificant fans like that have become and even worse that I get picked at for moaning about it or bringing it up.

That's a good call. The last bloke on here to suggest that we got rid of it had dog poo shoved through his letterbox and received death threats through the post.

That's blatantly a lie. There will have been no vote. Barclay has sold you short. Welcome to LCFC, where we are all objects of contempt who are only wanted for our money.

After having read the first post I think it would of been a better idea to tell him to move the family stand and replace it with the kop... a flag won't do anything to improve the libary.

When will we ever change.

If it was down to H&S they wouldn't have bothered with a vote so that's clearly bollocks.

I'm sick of what a crock of shite this club is.

Just lol

"Happy with the idea but can't comply with H&S".

I don't get why they pretend they're happy.

Can someone explain how it's safe for some clubs to do it, but not us?

Because behind the scenes we have the most boring set of cvnts on earth. No-one can be worse, literally no-one.
