Raj Posted 30 May 2012 Posted 30 May 2012 http://www.bbc.co.uk...yshire-18261680 Would humans(contemplating not using this for such beings) do such a thing and think they can get away with it. I know they have only been charged at this moment and obviously innocent until proven guilty and all that shit, but really c'mon.. **(Obviously they are innocent until proven guilty and deserve a fair trial)
Guest MattP Posted 30 May 2012 Posted 30 May 2012 Awful isn't it. Few guys I know in Derby have said the guy did it to try and get a bigger house and it's "gone a bit wrong" Staggering case.

Gone abit wrongs putting it mildy! IF its true whats happened, the hatred towards this man who has over 15 kids already and dont work will be enough to warrant him doing himself in too(hopefully) **(Obviously they are innocent until proven guilty and deserve a fair trial)
Guest MattP Posted 30 May 2012 Posted 30 May 2012 Yeah you can already see the guy is a total scumbag, pure Jeremy Kyle fodder. Unbelievable stuff to even try it, no words for putting your kids in danger doing it. Don't agree with the death penalty but hopefully someone will go this guy in on the inside. A waste of space since he was born.
cambridgefox Posted 30 May 2012 Posted 30 May 2012 Me and the wife were talking about this. How an earth can you even think about doing that to anyone, let alone your Own kids,we dont believe they have done it as we just dont understand how you could do it.Time will tell.
Raj Posted 30 May 2012 Author Posted 30 May 2012 Like Matt says he is scum...and i think he has been on Jeremy Kyle previuosly. The Cops aint gonna charge these 2 without enough info else they'll end up looking like knobs in such a high profile crime. **(Obviously they are innocent until proven guilty and deserve a fair trial)

Phrased it badly,im finding it so alien to my way of thinking that they can be so sick to do it.Thats what the courts are for and the police evidence to find out who done it.
AoWW Posted 30 May 2012 Posted 30 May 2012 As for their outpouring of 'grief' in the press conference...
Orkneyfox Posted 30 May 2012 Posted 30 May 2012 Well....maybe they didnt do it?? If they did then they are complete shites.
Fox in the North Posted 30 May 2012 Posted 30 May 2012 Undecided, i don't want it to be them as that would be awful. Then again the cops seem to think they have enough evidence so... I just hope that who ever is actually guilty gets caught and punished accordingly. RIP To the 5 children.
Raj Posted 30 May 2012 Author Posted 30 May 2012 As for their outpouring of 'grief' in the press conference... Only cos they probably went a "step too far" in getting attention for their plight in manipulating a bigger house. 6 kids (their OWN)blood on their hands. **(Obviously they are innocent until proven guilty and deserve a fair trial)
Guest Posted 30 May 2012 Posted 30 May 2012 Just a warning... Contempt of court is serious. Judges are clamping down on it, and social networking is one area that is of concern. It may seem like chatting with mates down the pub, but it's not, so be careful what you post in a thread like this. This pair are entitled to a fair trial, where the evidence will be produced to a jury, if it gets that far of course. Given the local prejudice, it could mean that this matter would be moved to Nottingham, or Leicester. You run the risk of being a juror on this case, so think before you post
Raj Posted 30 May 2012 Author Posted 30 May 2012 Cheers Leese....never doubted the loving caring hard working couple... **(Obviously they are innocent until proven guilty and deserve a fair trial)
Orkneyfox Posted 30 May 2012 Posted 30 May 2012 Lisa - I think mine was balanced and as much to the point, I'm not likely to get on a Leicester jury from here! When i was on the Childrens Panel I used to be exempt from jury service which was handy.

Finnegan Posted 31 May 2012 Posted 31 May 2012 Awful isn't it. Few guys I know in Derby have said the guy did it to try and get a bigger house and it's "gone a bit wrong" Staggering case. Wouldn't that make it manslaughter? (Genuine question, not just being picky.)
Leicester_Numan Posted 31 May 2012 Posted 31 May 2012 Is there a limit to how many times you can do jury service? I've done it twice and loved every minute of it. I remember him from the Jeremy Kyle show. He lived with his wife, live in girlfriend and 15 kids. He went on the show because he wanted to draw attention to his claim for a bigger house. You can imagine what Kyle made of that. They fixed him up with a job and he didn't show up for it. Pure benefit scrounging scum
Guest MattP Posted 31 May 2012 Posted 31 May 2012 Wouldn't that make it manslaughter? (Genuine question, not just being picky.) Possibly, usually in Manslaughter cases (certainly the ones I've read about and I'm sure Lisa will correct me if I'm wrong) it ends up as that being up or downgraded from Murder as more evidence comes to light on the investigation, one of my mates has just had his Manslaughter case upgraded to Murder while he is in custody and none of us can understand why as it's as clear a Manslaughter case as I think you can get. Guest MattP Posted 31 May 2012 Posted 31 May 2012 Managed to find it on youtube. What an absolutely vile man. A shame his children had to suffer with him as a father. Scum doesn't cover it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TX64Oj8Ua-Y
Captain... Posted 31 May 2012 Posted 31 May 2012 Wouldn't that make it manslaughter? (Genuine question, not just being picky.) I seem to remember, although it was a long time ago when I studied it, that you can be convicted of murder if it is a deliberate criminal act, even if it isn't your intention to kill someone, but if the potential loss of life is a reasonable/foreseeable outcome. If you set fire to a house knowing there are people inside it is reasonable to think that they will die, even if it is not your intention to kill them.

So it would be manslaughter if you were, I dunno, messing about with a can of lynx and a fag lighter and the place went up, because you caused the fire being a twat but you didn't mean to start it?
