Webbo Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 Adrian f**king Chiles Should have made him host Dancing on Ice and let Christine Bleakly do the football.
shen Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 Belgium will be a top side in two or three years. It's amazing that they've been so poor for so long. They've got key players at Ajax, Porto, Benfica, Everton, PSV, Arsenal, Lille, Man CIty, AZ, Fulham, Sunderland and Twente. On paper, that's a very sound base quality!

Jimothy Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 No they won't. Yes they will. Not being rude but judging by you comments on this thread you know **** all about football.
21st Century Fox Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 If Belgium had a decent manager, they've definitely got the individual talent to be a force.
shen Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 No they won't. They've got some of the hottest talent in Europe. Hazard, Courtois, Lukaku, Vertonghen, WItsel, De Bruyne and so on. Apart from a handful, none are past their mid twenties yet. Be interesting to know why you don't think so...
HEGGSY Posted 2 June 2012 Author Posted 2 June 2012 Aiden Azar. No Clive, it's Eden Hazard. "Mertens plays it back to Aiden Azar" FFS
Guest Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 Yes they will. Not being rude but judging by you comments on this thread you know **** all about football. Well you are being rude but anyway. What are you calling a top side then? Best 4 in the world? Best10 in the world. No they won't. They are a small country with the wrong psyche to manage to be a top team in football. But if you want to think that they're the Brazil of Europe carry on and get back to me in 3 years.

Apart from a handful, none are past their mid twenties yet. Be interesting to know why you don't think so... they've got a few reasonable players. They don't have the depth or the talent pool or the national psyche to ever produce a full team that will make them Top 5 or 10 or whatever you're saying. The players you mention are not messi, don't buy the hype, watch the game.
ScouseFox Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 What's the point in James Milner? Why does he exist? What's he there for?
The Doctor Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 What's the point in James Milner? Why does he exist? What's he there for? Same as Scott Brown - to serve as an example to kids that no matter how shit you are, you're good enough to play for one of the home nations.
HEGGSY Posted 2 June 2012 Author Posted 2 June 2012 What's the point in James Milner? Why does he exist? What's he there for? I concur....He's pointless.
davieG Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 What's the point in James Milner? Why does he exist? What's he there for? Where's Adam Johnson!

Certainly top 10 Do you mean the psyche that would stop a like say Greece winning a European Championships? They will emerge as a decent team. You know how Spain came from being a very average team to being a world class, that's what Belgium are about to do but a level lower. They are moving from a poor team to a decent team. Quarter finalist at the next WC.
HEGGSY Posted 2 June 2012 Author Posted 2 June 2012 Where's Adam Johnson! I know On the subject of Johnson, Glen is shit.
Jimothy Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 I know On the subject of Johnson, Glen is shit. I'd rather we played Boris at right back!

Quarter finalist at the next WC. So after insulting me you're now agreeing with me that they will not be a top team just a decent team. They will never be like spain and if you thought that Greece were a top team (which I'm presuming means in the world and not just in the med) then you didn't see that championships. Greece were a lucky boring team proven by their inability to do anything ever again. Belgium top 8 in the next world cup. They might qualify as they have Wales and Scotland in their group but they won't get out of the group stage. That would make them top 4 in Europe
HEGGSY Posted 2 June 2012 Author Posted 2 June 2012 I'd rather we played Boris at right back! ...Can you imagine this running down the right wing?
1884Fox Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 ...Can you imagine this running down the right wing? haha his hair flying around
MooseBreath Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 Not too bad, but you can't really read anything meaningful into these training matches. You can quite easily look solid in matches like this and then be a complete shambles when it matters. And England often do just that.
ScouseFox Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 Rooney looks proper fat today. Weird. Another thing that bloody annoys me is that we're only taking 4 strikers. And one (the only decent one) is suspended for two games. We're taking 5 centre halves! So negative.
Libertine Dream Posted 2 June 2012 Posted 2 June 2012 Watching England would send an insomniac to sleep
