Guest MattP Posted 11 June 2012 Posted 11 June 2012 Great adverts only problem is you can't recreate the crowd noise of what it would had been like had Gazzas goal gone in...
stripeyfox Posted 11 June 2012 Posted 11 June 2012 oh man. Gazza's "miss" in Euro 96. I can still feel the pain. So close. So, so close. And it would have been golden goal as well. Didn't Darren Anderton also hit the post in that frantic first half of extra time? Think Germany had a goal disallowed as well.
AyewJoking Posted 11 June 2012 Posted 11 June 2012 Really? I thought Seedorf was much better than the dream team of Viera, Southgate and Keane Not to mention Adrian fvcking Chiles. Dont think I mentioned the pundits and analysis did I? In which case the beeb wins hands down.
AyewJoking Posted 11 June 2012 Posted 11 June 2012 Didnt Leicester once have to get a Goalie in from the crowd when our keeper was injured ? Im sure my Grandma told me that one night as a little 'un but haven't looked into it There was an occasion when Russel Hoult had to replace the keeper. Hoult was sitting in the stands eating a hotdog or something. It was against Wolves on tv and think it ended 0-0.
Corky Posted 11 June 2012 Posted 11 June 2012 Many England supporters have no idea what it is to really suffer. We win the majority of our games, We make it to the finals of the World Cup and Euro's virtually every time, on most occasions we pass the group stage and end up losing in the quarters or semi's... do you understand how successful that makes us... generally always in the top 10 sides in the world!!! I would love to see us actually win and im gutted when we lose... but FFS listening to some England supporters is like listening to some Manure fans. These are the euro's, some of the finest players in the world will be competing against us... we cant expect to win every time we play... but we can hope. CMONNNN ENGERRRLANNNDDDDDDDD We just do well until we meet someone better than us. Occasionally we'll beat them but most of the time we'll lose. It's natural. The English mentality is that not winning is seen as failure, yet we as a nation put so much on finishing fourth in the Premier League

The Doctor Posted 11 June 2012 Posted 11 June 2012 ...the fvck? The Americans are self-obsessed and ignorant (stereotypically) and your government's foreign affairs usually involve picking a fight with some Arabian country.
Webbo Posted 11 June 2012 Posted 11 June 2012 Apparently Scottish TV have mocked up some archive footage of Scotland winning a corner.
