The ITV 'It's Good to Dream' adverts

Now I know ITV's football coverage is normally hopelessly inferior to that of BBC, but these ITV adverts are among the best footie adverts I've seen. Seriously.

Clever, well-edited and really capture the 'what-if' feeling of all our shitty near misses over the years.

Is it just me who has been impressed?

lol

Following England is depressing by its very nature, but there's no denying the ads are superbly made.

The ads are meh but in general I've been impressed by itv's coverage so far. Their matchday introduction is superior to bbc and the studio was class.

Their studio is much better, the only problem is they're having to shout over the locals lol

Really?

I thought Seedorf was much better than the dream team of Viera, Southgate and Keane  Not to mention Adrian fvcking Chiles.

Viera was speaking and it made me concentrate on him struggling wiith his English rather than what he was saying (just say it in French, dude, we're all cool),

Then Keane started, and, despite me being a keen linguist with 7 languages, I could make out about half of what he was saying. Trying to tune in to Keane's accent was like trying to tune back in to English when you've been speaking another language for a few days.

Then Southgate chipped in and, to be honest, I'd lost interest by then.

I prefer the BBC, even if they do employ Shearer to state the bleedin obvious.

I think they are very good very well made ads, but it is a little depressing.

That pretty much sums it up.

However, this ad just makes me want to smash the telly.

Clearly made by someone who knows nothing about football.

Didnt Leicester once have to get a Goalie in from the crowd when our keeper was injured ?

Im sure my Grandma told me that one night as a little 'un but haven't looked into it

Ughh. It's like being a poor kid listening to your spoilt brat class mate complain that the weather wasn't quite perfect on their trip to Disney World.

I see the point but it's actually like being compared to the posh class mates who go on five star all-inclusive holidays to Barbados and St. Kitts when the reality is your folks can just about afford a week's self-catering in Benidorm.

Yeah you're better off than Mr and Mrs Wales and the Scotland family who are off to Mablethorpe and Scarborough for their holidays, but you're supposed to be in the same company as the Germany and France family so you feel a bit left-out in comparison.

No idea where this analogy is going to be honest.

Could be worse though - you could be the Greek family who can only afford to hang a beach backdrop in their living room for a summer holiday.

We're all outta Home Nations, where do we go now?

To the US family who go to Mexico because it's the only other country they know to exist that isn't full of those weird folks who's women dress like ninjas.

Many England supporters have no idea what it is to really suffer.

We win the majority of our games, We make it to the finals of the World Cup and Euro's virtually every time, on most occasions we pass the group stage and end up losing in the quarters or semi's... do you understand how successful that makes us... generally always in the top 10 sides in the world!!!

I would love to see us actually win and im gutted when we lose... but FFS listening to some England supporters is like listening to some Manure fans.

These are the euro's, some of the finest players in the world will be competing against us... we cant expect to win every time we play... but we can hope.
