Corky Posted 7 September 2012 Posted 7 September 2012 Ticket plus travel's still cheaper then a ticket and a pie at Elland road. "Don't know what you mean".
Fox92 Posted 8 September 2012 Posted 8 September 2012 Yeah they sold 2,000+ and it was on tv, amazing support. Yep, I remember now. Watched it on tv, a few good games. In terms of support in our division, Leeds' is second to none.
EcclesallOwl Posted 14 September 2012 Posted 14 September 2012 A FOOTBALL fan has appeared in court accused of climbing up a TV gantry as a prank during a Crystal Palace game. Sheffield Wednesday fan Sean Carr made the 400-mile round trip from Rotherham on Wednesday, to appear before Croydon Magistrates' Court for just ten minutes. IN THE DOCK: Sean Carr is facing prosecution over an alleged incident at a Palace game The 33-year-old is charged with going onto an area adjacent to the playing area during a game as prohibited under the Football (Offences) Act 1991. The court heard Carr, of Jewitt Road, Rotherham, had accepted a bet from a friend to climb up a ladder in the Arthur Wait Stand at Selhurst Park, to where TV cameras were stationed – much to the amusement of the travelling Wednesday fans. Once at the top of the ladder, the Yorkshire club's travelling support were heard to chant "We'll do what we want, we're Sheffield Wednesday, we'll do what we want." ( ) Natasha Pitman, who was at the game, told the Advertiser: "I couldn't believe it. "The atmosphere at the ground was great as always but there are always some people that do silly things. "I couldn't keep my eyes off him – it was difficult to focus on the game." The case was adjourned until November 20. The incident has been widely discussed on football forums after fans saw a man on top of the ladder during Palace's 2-1 home win against Wednesday in the Championship on September 1. On a Sheffield Wednesday forum, one fan wrote: "It's only my bleeding cousin, it went from a bet to him actually doing it. "Just hope he doesn't get a three-year ban as he's as harmless as a cushion, until it comes to climbing ladders."

Corky Posted 14 September 2012 Posted 14 September 2012 Is Charlton and Palace a big rivalry? Doesn't seem like it at the ground.
Guest Bilo Posted 14 September 2012 Posted 14 September 2012 Nah, Palace's rivalries are with Brighton and to a lesser extent Millwall. Charlton don't feature all that highly for them.
FoxyPV Posted 14 September 2012 Posted 14 September 2012 How can anyone have a rivalry with Charlton? It would be like getting pissed off at a packet of Wether's Originals.

Father Ted Posted 14 September 2012 Posted 14 September 2012 I've only just noticed how dogshite Wednesday's defence is: Kirkland Beevers Llera Taylor Mattock Shocking.
EcclesallOwl Posted 14 September 2012 Posted 14 September 2012 I've only just noticed how dogshite Wednesday's defence is: Kirkland Beevers Llera Taylor Mattock Shocking. Exactly Kirkland's quality though It will be: Buxton - Taylor - Gardner - Reda/Mattock Which is a good enough defence for the Championship, just need to get them fit and settled.
BHAFC Braders Posted 14 September 2012 Posted 14 September 2012 I'm saying nothing , apart from I quite enjoyed tonight..
Libertine Dream Posted 14 September 2012 Posted 14 September 2012 Nah, Palace's rivalries are with Brighton and to a lesser extent Millwall. Charlton don't feature all that highly for them. Read Simon Jordan's book and you may think differently. Charlton definitely feature highly
