JackBerrisford Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Sharp will score 20+ goals for Forest this season.... realistically, can you see anyone doing that in ours?
hbkkids Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Would have liked him here...but we should concentrate on ourselves. Who the **** are Forest? that team who look more likely to go up than us.
Jace Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 I would rather have Vardy who wants to play for the club what is it with players not wanting to join us though? First Beckham turned us down then Mackail-Smith, Maynard, Sharp thought we were massive!?!?
1964FOX Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 I think they have done well, if we bought Sharpe and Cox we would be going loopy. Hopefully they will do really badly but you can't deny they are decent signings.
foxesfan1989 Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 that team who look more likely to go up than us. What matters is what actually happens, not what people think might happen. No need to panic over nothing.

5waller5 Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 What's this got to do with Leicester? They are in the same division as us, we have to play them twice, as well as get more points than them if they are in 6th position in May. The fact that they are strengthening their side is therefore relevant. Anything else i can explain that will enable you to not dismiss anything that doesn't say, "Pearson is doing a bloody good job" then let me know.
marko Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Sharp will score 20+ goals for Forest this season.... realistically, can you see anyone doing that in ours? Just out of interest, what makes you categorically state that? The most he's ever scored in a season above League 1 is 15. Now correct me if I'm wrong but Nugent managed this last season as well. Similarly, Simon Cox hasn't proved anything at this level yet, but is being lauded as some sort of goal machine.

So why is there a Championship thread and other such topics in the General Sports?

He's not one of our signings or even a target since he turned our big money offer down... it belongs in the general football board If you want to talk about other clubs strengthening and us not able to until we can ship some high earners on, then that's a different matter and already being discussed in the Rhodes thread, which the OP span back to talk about us
Super_horns Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 16 loans? Yes...most from the Pozzo's parent club Udinese so really Zola has just been given a bunch of players to work with. Our other signings included Fitz Hall and Almunia for example..both experienced in England.
dayday Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 You have to wonder why Southampton were quick to let Sharpe go.
RedHux Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Nah, it's a strong league and we'll no doubt balls up the play offs in dramatic and for some, hilarious fashion.
dave_the_fox Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Sharp and Cox, as individual players, have done nothing in the past too suggest they are better than Dave Nugent at this level. Plus, there is nothing to suggest Sharp/Cox will be better than Nugent/Vardy. Just because they have both joined from Premier League teams, doesn't make them better players than Nugent or Vardy. See Mr. Beckford.......

I never look anywhere else but here!!!
Guest bss9401 Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 I would have liked us to get Cox. Very good at Brighton and unlucky not to get a run at West Brom. Sharp on the other hand, well they can have him. As it stands they are both florist so can go f6ck each other
Fox92 Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Sharp will score 20+ goals for Forest this season.... realistically, can you see anyone doing that in ours? Again, there is no evidence to suggest Sharp will score 20+. For one, he hasn't played yet. Also, we've only played three games. You have to wonder why Southampton were quick to let Sharpe go. Maybe because he isn't good enough?
Finchy Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 I dunno, I don't think anyone is gonna have to be particularly good to get promoted this season, and I think Forest are going about it in the right way. We're capable too if we sort ourselves out.
leicesterisme Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 As much as I don't want it to happen Forest are going up.
Simmo86 Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 As much as I don't want it to happen Forest are going up. Defence is still a bit shabby

Better approach than we took last year anyway!
lcfc matt Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Hate to say it but can see forest having a better season than us and before some clever dick decides to say " on what basis" the fact the have gathered together a nice little squad there and got in some tidy signings which we could quite easily have got.
