Well, at least we saw some great goals tonight. About time the goals-per-game average increased.

Germany and Spain in the final now.

Hi Michel

I hate German over confidence

I hate all the commentators constantly fapping at Germany, and how they think they are favorites at every opportunity

Germany aren't perfect

C'mon Greece :scarf:

I don't like it anymore than you do but you have to say the Germans look bloody good. They're looking awesome right now. Strength in depth too. Bloody Germans.

I dont think theyre as strong as most people are making out

They conceded twice to Nicklas Bendtner

They didnt fly past The Dutch

They where poor against Portugal

And they didnt convince me much for most of tonight either

They also have a team containing Muller, Neuer and also have a tw@ of a manager and fans who think they have a right to everything

I cant stand them, and I really hope they get some serious treatment from somebody

As far as national teams go, they're amongst the three or four best in the world, easily! 10 out of 10 quali wins with a +27 GD, 4 out of 4 in the finals and a semi-final place secured. What more could you possibly ask for? I even think they've played the best football of all teams so far. They cruised against the Dutch! Don't know what match you were watching... Besides, you make the Dutch and Portuguese sound like second-rate teams.

Oh and Bendtner didn't score against Germany twice, never mind once! Krohn-Dehli scored against them. And on a side note, Bendtner's been excellent this tournament :P

Oh yeah, he scored against Portugal twice . . . *hic* :sweating:

But they dont look that strong to me, they've had to push through a few matches they should've breezed

And theyre manager & a few of their squad look like pr**ks, sick off the media here constantly describing them as some unbeatable godly behemoth

I guess if I think they are really not that good, I should just wait and watch and hopefully something will prove them wrong :fc: :fc:

Germany's a classic tournament team, starting off slow only to gain massive momentum. And they haven't lost a competitive game in their past 15 (!) matches.

Besides, Löw played some sort of a second-string squad yesterday.

There's at least two very good to great players on each position.

I don't see any weakness in this team.

It's got the right mix of youth and experience and Germany offers some exciting football to watch at times.

A lot of things would have to happen for them not to appear in the final - and I can't see Italy or England being able to keep up with them (England more so than Italy).

But I'll let the last few games surprise me.

Beating Denmark and Holland doesn't mean much. The Danes are a poor team while Holland were in a farcical state. Last night's game against Greece surely goes down as one of the easiest quarter finals in tournament history. The Greek defence was laughable, the Germans could and should have scored 8+. A top class side on form might have even reached 10. That's how poor Greece were. So that only really leaves the first game by which Germany can be judged, which was a typically nervy opening day 1-0. They're yet to be properly tested.

Even better, they've WON all of their last 15 competitive matches, which I've just read is a new World Record!

They were in, by far, the toughest group. And of the five or six European sides that I believe could throw a spanner in their works, Germany have beaten three of them already. But they're definitely not unbeatable. They've given away several chances in games they've controlled for 90 minutes, but I think those mistakes will be rectified come the semis/final.

Well there isn't a long history of QFs in this tournament, so there's not much to go on. I think the Portugal QF wasn't any harder. Then again, it's easy to belittle the German's opposition because they've all lost. The fact they consistently live up to their favorites tag and even beat some half-decent teams makes them a top class side IMO.
