Beer Gardens are brilliant

OK then boys. And girls, I don't discriminate.

Been out in Skeggy now for a couple of hours in the beer gardens in preparation for a full-on night out in this glorious seaside resort, and this has helped me come to a conclusion.

Beer gardens. They're brilliant aren't they? They so seamlessly combine those two great loves of the British; beer and sunshine. Hangovers and sunburn.

You know you love the humble beer garden at your local. The stainless steel chairs and table, the tobacco smoke drifting in the air like phosgene gas at the Somme blending beautifully with the pollution of the surrounding roads. It sounds far from idyllic, yet it is. That humble beer garden. That centre of the British summertime.

We as men must salute her, like a gloriously intoxicated ship of debauched alcoholic joy.

All hail the beer garden and all that vomit in her!

Spent a pleasant hour in the Hope and Anchor beer garden myself today. Which pub were you in Bilo?

The Red Lion mate. Spoons is the only place I've found that sells German weiss beer sadly. Really quite nice out the back.

I didn't even know they had a beer garden, I thought you might be in the Lumley.

Lumley is only over the road to be fair. Cooling down a bit now, may have to retire inside.

Oh and weiss bier is undoubtedly a superb choice BornBlue.

Erdinger my son. Beautiful.

Nice choice!

On a side note, does anyone else remember Kronenbourg Deco? It was a bottle of Kronenbourg with a shot glass of absinthe on top. Whatever happened to that?

Prefer it when its abit open, and youve got some greenery around . . . . . Of some description

You get loads of inner city pubs, and even clubs turning dingy car parks into beer gardens now; it just doesn't feel the same to me
