FuriousFox46 Posted 29 August 2012 Author Posted 29 August 2012 We are Stoke and Northampton 3rd rivals According to Cobblers, it's due to the amount of Foxes in Northamptonshire Hulls 2nd rivals Hilarious! Interesting. I wouldn't have thought Stoke would have voted us in at second, what is that about? Literally no idea with this one! Plymouth's 3rd rival, is Plymouth... Haha! I was typing very fast! It was supposed to be Portsmouth! It's been rectified now! Find it odd that we're now Coventry's biggest rivals. I'd have thought Aston Villa and Birmingham would be way ahead of us in their hatred stakes. Surprised by the absence of Mansfield in Chesterfield's list of rivals as well. I was originally going to have open box questions but the survey wouldn't allow it. Hence the exclusion of non-league clubs
EcclesallOwl Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 Hartlepool see us as their second rivals!? What?! That one doesn't even make sense..
Corky Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 Hartlepool see us as their second rivals!? What?! That one doesn't even make sense.. Are Charlton above United yet?
Mark_w Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 How on earth are Millwall only 7th in the Neutral 'Most disliked club' list.
Happy Fox Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 What's Chesterfield and Mansfields deal? The battle of the fields
FuriousFox46 Posted 29 August 2012 Author Posted 29 August 2012 The battle of the fields Team Bosworth
lavrentis Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 Man United not with Leeds as top 3 rivalry? Hmmm.
ADK Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 Most Man U fans have never been to a football match to be fair.
Voll Blau Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 What's Chesterfield and Mansfields deal? Miners' strikes. Derbyshire pitmen (Chesterfield fans) supported it, Nottinghamshire pitmen (Mansfield fans) were scabs. On the Man U-Leeds issue, proper Man U fans (Salford-dwelling black jacket wearers etc) will still harbour some feeling about Leeds.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 I believe some Stoke fans hated us for beating them in the playoff semi final. We went up and had some of our glory years. They went down and rotted in league one (for a while). Obviously they could say they have some redemption now, but at least we can say straight back up as champions. I definitely dislike Stoke and would love us to beat them when we next play.

Alexikokopops Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Have you got a list of the number of responses by club supported? While you got 1100 which is a decent amount, that's only 12 responses per team. Take into account that it's going to be heavily skewed by Leicester fans and it wouldn't surprise me if there's only a couple of responses for some teams. That would explain some of the results that people are surprised at. Sorry to soun like an arse, I'm just intrigued. I do a lot of stats at work. I'm an exciting guy. Excellent work on the survey

Excellent work on the survey I'll have a look, I do know that Leicester, Southampton, Oxford, Manchester United, Forest, Derby and Coventry had the most respondents.
