Wilson_6 Posted 19 September 2012 Posted 19 September 2012 This may have been brought up before but.. When would city have a need to wear there white third kit? I cant think of any matches (Other than gillingham away) where we cant wear our home kit or away kit.
Mack Posted 19 September 2012 Posted 19 September 2012 Welcome to the wonderful World of Commercialism
AyewJoking Posted 19 September 2012 Posted 19 September 2012 Saving it for the FA cup final (versus Torquay)
Jace Posted 19 September 2012 Posted 19 September 2012 Its pointless a 3rd kit was usually required when white was our away kit but with black being the 2nd choice its a waste of time I only buy the home 1 each year anyway
Harry - LCFC Posted 19 September 2012 Posted 19 September 2012 I think we'll wear it against Palace, but we don't actually need to wear it as the black one is perfectly suitable. They'll wear it so fans will buy it etc. I remember we wore our black (3rd kit at the time) in the 10/11 season against QPR when our yellow 2nd kit would've been just as good. Just a money making scheme.
foxesfan1989 Posted 19 September 2012 Posted 19 September 2012 Need to wear it when the club shop has a surplus and needs to ship them
Trav Le Bleu Posted 19 September 2012 Posted 19 September 2012 All clubs should wear their home kit unless it clashes, then the away team should wear their away kit, which was how it used to be before money got too involved in football.
Guest Bilo Posted 19 September 2012 Posted 19 September 2012 Aye, Millwall. The shade of blue they wear will be too dark for our black away kit, hence we'll wear white that day.

You're not wrong there. I mean, what was the point in this? They changed to a strip that was far closer to our blue than their first strip for crying out loud.

What I don't understand is why both M69 games last season included both teams wearing their blue strips, especially at home? Coventry wore their away strip when they played any other blue home kit team I noticed... Rivalry reasons?
