Nick Posted 7 October 2012 Posted 7 October 2012 There are more cringeworthy items in the club shop than a scarf with "We love you" written on it.
davieG Posted 7 October 2012 Author Posted 7 October 2012 Some new songs to make the scarf purchase worthwhile and to piss off Kitchandro TOSS YOUR SCARVES Tune: “Jingle Bells†Toss your scarves, toss your scarves Toss them way up high. Toss your scarves up in the air, ‘til they reach the sky. Wave your scarves, wave your scarves, Twirl them ‘round and ‘round. Twirl your scarves one more time, Then let them, all fall down. Jean Warren IF YOU’RE HAPPY AND YOU KNOW IT Tune: “If You’re Happy And You Know It†If you’re happy and you know it, wave your scarf. If you’re happy and you know it, wave your scarf. If you’re happy and you know it, your face will surely show it. If you’re happy and you know it, wave your scarf. Adapted Traditional Continue with other scarf movements.
Corky Posted 7 October 2012 Posted 7 October 2012 It's pretty tacky but if people don't want them they won't buy them and this type of thing will disappear.
promised land Posted 7 October 2012 Posted 7 October 2012 It'll be even worse when we get in the premiership. We won't get in it as since 2007 it has been known as the Premier league.
Voll Blau Posted 7 October 2012 Posted 7 October 2012 Kitchandro has this thread sewn up. Everything he's posted has been bang on.
flowwolf Posted 7 October 2012 Posted 7 October 2012 The point I was making was about a scarf. YES there are a lot of things wrong with football but being that offended by a scarf really does seem a tad pathetic. You then go on about how there was only 22,000 there yesterday and pricing, what does this have to do with a scarf? Seems you have other problems and are using the 'scarf debacle' as a smokescreen. Wow touchy little thing aren't you ? someone disagrees with you in a civil way and you go off on a pseudo intellectual rant. This is a forum and I am not the only one to link a pathetic scarf to other problems in football or do you just read your own posts ? The problems are clearly yours.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 7 October 2012 Posted 7 October 2012 I've made a promise to my mates that if we win the league I'll get this song started at forest
LCFC FOX Posted 7 October 2012 Posted 7 October 2012 Good to hear St Ledger having a chant Saturday. About time. Deserves it
acooling08 Posted 7 October 2012 Posted 7 October 2012 Any positive feeling the fans had about King Power is being aggressively eroded this week. Back Pearson and stop the over-commercialisation of what is left of our fan culture or fvck off. Unbelievable. So they take over the club, get Pearson in, spend millions on us... but bringing out a scarf has ruined them for you eh?
Freedman Posted 8 October 2012 Posted 8 October 2012 Neither do we, as a Palace fan you surely realise that the club do things that the fans don't like, in general. Why are you even here though? because the lyrics on the scarf are wrong
The Year Of The Fox Posted 10 October 2012 Posted 10 October 2012 Anyone seen the high risk hoodies?!
Dan Posted 10 October 2012 Posted 10 October 2012 It's ur opinion but I honestly think u are thinking too much in to this:/ we have a shirt outside the ground saying we hate forest, it's only to make money. It's not just out club that allows a family experience...They've only made a scarf because for this one chant the whole ground is swinging scarfs and its a chance to give the kids something to enjoy and know the words to a song, I can't be bothered to go through all the negatives to a price of cotton sorry:/ my little cousin loved what my grandad bought him and he will be part of the leics tradition when he grows up as will other kids matey,. We're all foxes these r only youngsters wearing a scarf it'll die down eventually anyway That's the thing, no-one actually minds there being families there, it's the lack of non-family experience that really gets me. Honestly at this rate the whole ground (bar the west stand and away end) will be family stand. It's absolutely embarrassing how short-term it is.
davieG Posted 11 October 2012 Author Posted 11 October 2012 OS Ok they're charging for it, but who doesn't these days but you can't accuse them of ignoring our history & heritage. School children from across the county can now learn more about the history and heritage of Leicester City Football Club, with one of our newly-launched School Tours. The two-hour tours have already proven a big hit with two local schools, as Highfields Primary and Christ the King Primary School became the first to try out the experience, packed full of Foxes history, and of course a look around the magnificent facilities within King Power Stadium. Suitable for children of key stages 2 and 3, the tours offer visitors the chance to learn more about their local Club in the company of a dedicated Tour Guide and LCFC’s Club Historian, a qualified teacher, who will also be on hand to show a number of fascinating artefacts from City’s rich history. King Power Stadium School Tours also offer visiting schools a great chance to develop follow-up work. Treat your class or year group to a School Tour priced £2.50 per pupil with accompanying teachers going FREE! Register your interest in a King Power Stadium School Tour today by calling 0844 815 5000 (option 4) or email: [email protected]

If there were no money to be made out of these History& Heritage tours do you seriously think they would have ever seen the light of day ?
davieG Posted 11 October 2012 Author Posted 11 October 2012 If there were no money to be made out of these History& Heritage tours do you seriously think they would have ever seen the light of day ? Probably not but I doubt running these courses and charging £2.50 will have any sort of impact on their bottom line so they really have no need to do it for financial gain although they do have to pay Birch's salary from somewhere. If you read back over the history of this forum you will see that I'm a significant critic of LCFC and am extremely cynical of them and football in general but making a big fuss over this scarf and using it to condemn them for ignoring our history, heritage and the cleansing of football is simplistic and stretching it too far.

I blame Wellens Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 Can we just sing some good old fashion football songs and chants. Stop blaming the club and Jobber, it is up to the main vocal support of the club to get themselves sorted out. I really do feel sorry for Jobber actually he reminds me of those people on X factor who don't really understand that they are humiliating themselves and are getting laughed at by millions of people every week. Jobber has the same thing with all the travelling support every single week whether there is 150 or 3000 fans. He is probably a really nice bloke but someone has got to tell him.
coolhandfox Posted 12 October 2012 Posted 12 October 2012 Show’s how well things are going lately if all people have to moan about is a scarf! We should change the words to “'Cause we always moan about the Leicester, the Leicester, the Leicesterâ€.

But the atmosphere has picked up and that is the main thing atm as a club and to help the boys on, it's better that the whole ground) apart from west stand) seem to be joining in, lets be honest the KOP isn't what it was, so until they get their voices out, which we're more than capable of doing, it will be lads in and around l1 as the loudest and the rest joining in. But it is a lot better than previous seasons , can't really complain
