David Hankey Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 Will the deluge come against Burnley today or Huddersfield next Tuesday, I suspect neither. Surely Pearson can see where the problem lies and it's time to get it fixed.

Fox92 Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 Well, yeah we've been talking about a striker for ages now. (And now we've got Wood!). But in terms of not scoring in three; there was no excuse at Millwall although we did seem to dominate for the first 10/15minutes, we were very unlucky not to score against Cardiff - we hit the woodwork a number of times, as well as having one cleared off the line. Can't talk about Hull (I didn't go) but a 0-0 draw was a good result, especially at the KC, in my opinion. At least we are creating chances though. When you say 'we havent scored in three games', it doesn't sound good but I would be more worried if we were not creating any chances.

Danizen Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 With all this talk about not being able to score and signing a striker to remedy that, I wouldn't be surprised if we went goal crazy, today. That's how football goes, sometimes.
5waller5 Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 You took the words out of my mouth Waller I like the look and sound of him too ..... excited about this one ..... (but i was excited about Beckford too!)
Happy Fox Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 Beckford never scored in the championship prior to signing for us so it was gamble signing that didn't pay off if you look at Wood he does score goals at this level so it shouldn't be an issue about him delivering the goods. sphericalfox Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 I suspect that our strikers will see the next two games as do or die. Wood won't be a bench player, and Waggy and Vardy will both need to up their performances (well certainly their finishing) to see the light of the first team.
