Zingari Posted 7 January 2013 Posted 7 January 2013 Gen chat is like a friendly local with a few eccentric characters and a homely log fire having a confabulation about all and sundry and tucking into a steak an' ale pie . Main forum is like Wetherspoons on saturday night if the 2 for 1 offer is suspended due to lack of hunter's chicken
Captain... Posted 7 January 2013 Posted 7 January 2013 Gen Chat is like a meeting of Mensa compared to anything on the main Leicester forum. Nearly right, Mensa is like Bentley's Roof when compared to the brilliant minds in Gen Chat.
Guest MattP Posted 7 January 2013 Posted 7 January 2013 What a good debate and all without unnecessary abuse. Thinking the exact same thing when I was reading it.

Main forum is like Wetherspoons on saturday night if the 2 for 1 offer is suspended due to lack of hunter's chicken They open at 9am which f you are making comparisons it will be the isomniacs in Gen Chat logging on to the all nighters in Wetherspoons doorway waiting for them to open for their intake of breakfast John Smiths.
Guest MattP Posted 8 January 2013 Posted 8 January 2013 They open at 9am which f you are making comparisons it will be the isomniacs in Gen Chat logging on to the all nighters in Wetherspoons doorway waiting for them to open for their intake of breakfast John Smiths. The Last Plant opens at 7, I went in there in November before getting an early train, they didn't serve alcohol until 9 though and I wanted a double vodka. Bribed the barman a fiver in the end and he snuck a couple in for me.
Rincewind Posted 8 January 2013 Posted 8 January 2013 Never up at that time these days. Good if you need a breakfast I suppose and on nightshift. Wouldn't want a drink at 9.
The Doctor Posted 8 January 2013 Posted 8 January 2013 Pah, it's all about the train beers. One pub in leeds just round the corner from the station (I think it's called the brewery tap) does special deals if you're buying train beers.
Zingari Posted 8 January 2013 Posted 8 January 2013 why all the Jimmy Carr hate? http://www.telegraph...ax-mystery.html Surely that deserves to be a much bigger story in the news .I bet there's lots of people who haven't even heard about it .
davieG Posted 8 January 2013 Posted 8 January 2013 Drunk driver - http://www.bbc.co.uk...europe-20937700
Charl91 Posted 8 January 2013 Posted 8 January 2013 Drunk driver - http://www.bbc.co.uk...europe-20937700 Now THAT makes him a dick.
Zingari Posted 8 January 2013 Posted 8 January 2013 What on earth is a big fat cvnt like that doing riding a scooter ?
MooseBreath Posted 8 January 2013 Posted 8 January 2013 Surely that deserves to be a much bigger story in the news .I bet there's lots of people who haven't even heard about it . Heard about what? "There is no suggestion Mr Blair's tax affairs are anything but legitimate." He's obviously a cvnt but that's a nothing story
Zingari Posted 8 January 2013 Posted 8 January 2013 Heard about what? "There is no suggestion Mr Blair's tax affairs are anything but legitimate." He's obviously a cvnt but that's a nothing story So are all the other tax avoidance stories though . I just wonder why they pick and choose some individuals to make it a big story
MooseBreath Posted 8 January 2013 Posted 8 January 2013 So are all the other tax avoidance stories though . I just wonder why they pick and choose some individuals to make it a big story Risk/reward I guess. There's not much danger in attacking a sour faced weasel like jimmy carr but you probably wouldn't want to make enemies with t-blair
Zingari Posted 8 January 2013 Posted 8 January 2013 Risk/reward I guess. There's not much danger in attacking a sour faced weasel like jimmy carr but you probably wouldn't want to make enemies with t-blair Yep that's just about it in my book . Attack the little uns while being wilfully ignorant of the big uns
pSinatra Posted 8 January 2013 Posted 8 January 2013 Yep that's just about it in my book . Attack the little uns while being wilfully ignorant of the big uns Jimmy Carr does seem to be receiving special attention when there are so many of them at it. Everybody knows what a shit Tony Blair is & he does seem to be teflon coated. He will have 'friends' in the media too. Jimmy Carr is an easy target. He has got one of those faces!! Why isn't Golden Boy Gary Barlow under the spotlight? It would be suicidal to go after one of our 'national treasures' & instead gave him an OBE.
Smudge Posted 8 January 2013 Posted 8 January 2013 What on earth is a big fat cvnt like that doing riding a scooter ? Taxi evading
BoneDog Posted 10 January 2013 Posted 10 January 2013 Saw a picture of him for the first time in about 20 years the other day. Picture with Putin. SHIT ON A STICK, he's swallerred some pies since I last saw him! Hooooge. Only knew him from a film called Green Card back in the late 80's which I watched, but it bored the shit out of me so I put Tango & Cash on instead.
Rincewind Posted 10 January 2013 Posted 10 January 2013 I only mentioned Jimmy Carr because there was a thread devoted to him not so long ago. The ones that did not like him made out he was the biggest criminal since Jack the Ripper.
