Bert Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Yeah, the snooker to get in behind the green. Shot of the tournament and probably what won him that game. In other news, my pool team beat his tonight
Guest MattP Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Yeah, the snooker to get in behind the green. Shot of the tournament and probably what won him that game. In other news, my pool team beat his tonight I saw it on Twitter , top result that they are a fine side.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Weird question but is there a dress code for spectators at the Snooker?
Guest MattP Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 No. Some of them turn up looking like right arseholes.
Uncle Albert Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 No. Some of them turn up looking like right arseholes. Yeah they do, I went to the Crucible once for the Semi-Finals, wore a nice shirt, jeans and a shirt, tramp next to me was in trackies and some scretty reeboks.

Good, shows you have some pride in yourself and standards. First time I went to the crucible I wore a suit, talk about overdressed. Mind you, I think scraggy reeboks might still be better than the idiots in "wheres the cue ball going?" T shirts
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Sweet, it's one of the last sports im keen on seeing. Might just don a jacket and some nice pants. As long as i don't do this that should be fine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55b3Q_yLTzY
Guest MattP Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 lol We are a strange country really, we turn up in black ties and drink wine to watch boxing but turn in trainers and fart at the snooker.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 lol We are a strange country really, we turn up in black ties and drink wine to watch boxing but turn in trainers and fart at the snooker. I went Darts last weekend and that is a completely different story all together
Guest MattP Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 I went Darts last weekend and that is a completely different story all together Just basically one giant pub isn't it
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Just basically one giant pub isn't it 2nd time in 6 months, this time MVG played and it was on the Ethihad Stadium surface. They had to shut all the bars early cos people were way too loose.
kingfox Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Sweet, it's one of the last sports im keen on seeing. Might just don a jacket and some nice pants. As long as i don't do this that should be fine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55b3Q_yLTzY When I went to the Crucible a few years back, Jan Verhaas was reffing. He said Can you put your sweet papers away please. Think the noise was coming from the back row.
RowlattsFox Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Went to the snooker shoot out last year in Blackpool, and was a surreal experience with the singing, fancy dress and drinking. Was just like the darts. Did I see someone at the masters the other day in full snooker kit? Full kit willy puller.
foxfanazer Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Want to get home early today to watch Ronnie!
foxfanazer Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Wow Ronnie! Got home at 2 thinking I'd at least get to see 2 or 3 frames! Half a frame, cheers Ronnie!
foxfanazer Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Selby showed MASSIVE BALLS last night!Surely there's a rule against that!
Guest shearfox Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Wow Ronnie! Got home at 2 thinking I'd at least get to see 2 or 3 frames! Half a frame, cheers Ronnie! , 6 frames in 58 minutes wow that is impressive...
Jimothy Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Surely there's a rule against that! Harder to pot as well, surely!
Voll Blau Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Should be a great final. Gotta love Ronnie's inspirational Chinese entrance theme.
Raj Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 FcUK me selby is getting a masterclass by Ronnie...this could be embarrassing for selby...hope he shows some spirit here.
kingfox Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Ronnie is playing better than he did at the Worlds. I'm so glad I've seen him play live, I've been to the Crucible five times, have seen about 10 matches, and his performance was the only one that left me shaking my head in amazement, at some of his shots & positional play. And I've seen the likes of Selby, Higgins, Trump, Murphy & Robertson.
Bert Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 If Ronnie's head was always straight he would have already won more than Hendry. Because of what he's achieved Hendry is the greatest player in the game, for now. But I wouldn't be surprised if Ronnie would eclipse that.
