Jimothy Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 If he won this, surely it would be snooker's greatest comeback?
Raj Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 The way rockets was playing Im sure it would be...be bloody miracle if he does though!!!!
leicesterisme Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Fair play Ronnie. He's been on another level all week.
kingfox Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Nobody beats Ronnie when playing like that, he has just given one of the best Snooker players of this generation a lesson. Roll on the Crucible.
Matt Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Starts today. Mark Selby is first up against Shaun Murphy.
kingfox Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Yeah some more Snooker on the BBC. Will be good to see Ali Carter back on the television stage again.
foxfanazer Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Roast dinner in the oven and snooker on the tele. Perfect Sunday
isaidno Posted 18 January 2015 Author Posted 18 January 2015 Great win by Murphy, but Robertson was well below par
Rincewind Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 I was going to put it on after the football. Robertson was superb yesterday. Saw it up to about 6-1
Carl the Llama Posted 21 January 2017 Posted 21 January 2017 Epic bump. Watching the Perry-Hawkins semi and both of these guys will get spanked by Ronny, it's a shame we had him playing Fu as a semi. PS. I'm watching on catchup, I'm only on the 4th frame so far so if anybody else wants to participate in this thread's busiest day for 2 years please keep any results in spoilers ta.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 21 January 2017 Posted 21 January 2017 Ronnie was magnificent, seems he was playing with a rubbish tip for a while haha

Final's shaping up to be very one sided at this rate.
kingfox Posted 21 January 2017 Posted 21 January 2017 Ronnie wasn't playing his best Snooker until today, great standard against Fu, heavy scoring from both. How good has Marco Fu been lately though, keep it up going into April you'd have to class him as one of the faves to win the Crucible. Could be a repeat of last year's final, Ronnie beating Barry 10-1 on that occasion
Carl the Llama Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 To be fair that was a pretty great match come the end of it. Ron's got this nevertheless.
EastAnglianFox Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 All for making snooker a bit more lively and producing a decent atmosphere but the clowns mainly in the evening sessions and mainly at the Masters are just embarrassing now. What's the betting the person in the crowd who needed a medic was a Ronnie fan boy who couldn't handle a day on the pop!
foxes_rule1978 Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Seems comfortable for Ronnie, perry just feeling the nerves and making errors.

Like you say all for livening the game up a bit, but some of them are just idiots. Shouting and cheering his name is fine, but have some respect for both players, don't do it during play, or as I saw last year at the UK's during a victory speech by Ronnies opponent.

Very disrespectful that is for sure. Just need to calm down and add atmosphere at the right time, because no atmosphere is better than disrespecting the players. Seems to be a lot worse in the final session, I understand it is easy to get overly excited when it is the closing stages but they should think.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Ronnie's safety and long potting have done the damage so far, two things that a few years back were a complete weakness. Perry in now with a great chance
Harry - LCFC Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Just switched on. Perry looks like he's managed this frame okay. And yeah I'm not keen on Ronnie's fans shouting out either. Seems like they pick the moments where they know it's not appropriate so they can be heard.
