Dr The Singh Posted 28 March 2013 Posted 28 March 2013 The EDL, by supporting the Sikh's in this case, just shows that they are an organisation that have an agenda against Muslims, my enemy's enemy is my friend and all that. That article also massively highlights the incompetence of the police (whether you believe it was for fear of upsetting Muslims, or just general incompetence) they should be doing more to investigate claims of this nature. The EDL would be best mates with anyone for there agenda, I doubt they really have any respect for anyone other then thmselves

The Sikh community could exploit the EDL to get some help in their own struggles with.. and i say this carefully... certain members of the Muslim community. Think about it... All it could take is someone from the Sikh community making a call to someone in the EDL about a Muslim who has caused an issue similar to what was mentioned and you can bet your bottom dollar the EDL will be round there like a pack of dogs on heat after a bitch. Would that be so bad? ( Playing Devils advocate!) Although it has to be said that when they group together Sikhs seem very capable of looking after themselves....

But it's fair t say in all walks of life there are racists!!! Calling a black kettle, black, isn't something we should be afraid of.

There are Sikhs that are empowered to combat any threat from any group. Sikhs' associated with EDL are a minority infact Guramit Singh a leader in EDL, has been shown to be mocked with racist abuse amongst his own EDL on many you tube videos, this has been shown to all Sikh networks. proving EDL are just another mechanism for the right wing racists. Infact there are more members of my local Sikh temple then there are Sikh member in the EDL. If the EDL were true to there motto they would get more then just some SIkh members but from all walks of life, as we are all against radical islam. BTW, Guramit Singh released a statement making clear he does not represent sikhs and neither is a sikh of repute, after Singhs/Sikhs threatened to wipe him out. On the point you can't call them racist is rubbish, all action has been a reaction from the Sikhs, but if SIkhs attacked innocent muslims. I would say it was racial. And in this country there have ben Sikhs convicted of race hate crimes against muslims
