Aren’t they supposed to be toning it down/tightening it up a bit this year?

Supposedly but I'll believe it when I see it.

Doesn't help when you get idiot players like Higgs and Dahmen taking their shirts off whipping up a riot.

I know I'm old skool/traditional when it comes to golf but the "it's O.K. cos it's only one week a year" excuse is getting boring.

I had a ding dong about it on Twitter a few years ago with Jason Sobel who's a writer for the Golf Channel. Nob.

Just got my G440 driver and been smashing them down the range. Miles better than the garbage I was previously using.

Extra distance I've now got will make it even harder to find my hooked drives though.

£500 for a driver. That's half a set of irons FFS.

Full Swing season 3 dropped on Netflix yesterday for anyone who watches it.

Half way through it.

Love the Rory/Shane bromance

I'll be starting to watch season 3 once I've finished watching what I'm currently watching. I really do miss playing golf but it can be such a battle at times playing one handed. How's your golf going Izzy?

One handed as in literally one handed?

I've only played twice since November due to a combination of a couple of close bereavements lately and our course being closed from all the rain.

Hoping to play more regularly when the weather improves but it's such a time investment. Also in the process of moving house so basically paying £100 a month for fvck all golf atm.

On the plus side, I'm going to the Masters with my old man in six weeks so mega excited about that.

Hope everything is going ok for you now, yeah the weather has been absolutely horrendous recently.

I think once the weather improves I might go driving range just to see how I feel swinging a club again.

That will be an unbelievable experience hope you both really enjoy The Masters can't wait to watch it myself.

Disappointed with Full Swing S3 overall. Apart from the Rory/Shane bromance and #FreeScottie, I thought it was pretty bland.

Interesting that Xander won 2 majors but him, Cantlay, and a few others wanted nothing to do with the Netflix cameras following them so they had to find other storylines.

And pointless of them trying to hype up the drama of the Tour Championship and Presidents cup when they were both walkovers.

I didn't really learn much that I didn't already know.

I'm 4 episodes in and quite enjoying it, I have always felt like for the avid golf fan there's not much you don't know so that bit doesn't bother me.

I think what has always fascinated me is the psychology aspect, how these guys who are world number whatever think they just can't compete with the top top guys (I.e Lowry v McIlroy or Hadwin and Taylor). We definitely don't realise the full mental aspect of it, I see it for the guys who struggle to keep their card but those around the 30-50 world rank mark you don't expect them to have the mental battles they do.

Hardly surprised that Cantlay wants nothing to do with the camera, in fairness I wouldn't want him on anyway, one of the most uninteresting, boring blokes there is.

Love Ludvig Aberg so I enjoyed ep1, he's going to pick up a major this year in my opinion.

Beautiful morning for golf. Me and a mate from work went out early doors for a round.

Our thing this year is seeing how low we can go in a scramble.

A couple of weeks ago, it was a +4 round of 75.

Managed a 7 shot swing today and shot a 68.

Dovetailed amazingly and holed a few monster puts.

Great fun in that format and if you hit a shit shot, your partner can bail you out.

I can't hit an iron to save my life at the minute (apart from 2 belters on par 3's).

Been doing really well with the driver and putter though. It'll click soon. I hope

Universe forbids having a round without one aspect of your game being complete garbage.

Time to start paying attention ahead of my mammoth masters weekend.

Bottle of top single malt, few nice beers and a good bet.

Results in the run up can be worth paying attention to.

Was a good one at Bay Hill.

Looked like it was Morikawa's win, but Henley with the clutch eagle chip in from the deep rough was the difference.

Nice 3rd place for Conners

Enjoyed that. Proper tough set up at Bay Hill.

Think we'll see Henley in the RC team later this year.

No talk about The Players on here yet?

Imagine how low Rory could go if he hit a fairway.

Saying that, his approach to 18 was a thing of beauty.

Reminiscent of me cutting a low runner out of the trees with a 19 degree hybrid.

The PLAYERS hotting up nicely, any of the top 20 in with a shout and Rory looking good.

And what a performance by JT today. Shoots a 78 yesterday and follows it with a 62 today - what a turnaround.

In more important news, had my MASTERS travel guide sent through and some interesting 'rules' at Augusta!

I knew about the no phones policy but no electronic devises allowed at all (so no vaping for me :nono:), no bags bigger than a bum bag, no golf shoes with spikes, no sports branded clothing, no sitting down on the grass, no notebooks, no chairs with pointed ends, etc, etc.

And best of all, you collect your ticket/badge at the gate with ID then MUST hand it back before you leave. They take your credit card details in advance and if you take it home, they charge you $8500 lol
