I went out playing today and it was forking freezing!

Texas scramble yesterday, shot gross -9 net -17, we all thought we were in with a chance to find we finished 15th😱, though only 2 shots behind the winners.

Flew into Charlotte yesterday and drove down to Columbia. All ready for shuttle to Augusta tomorrow morning but the forecast is awful.

Once in a lifetime trip and the weather is going to ruin it. Gutted for my old man more than anything

As a golfer you will well know, the forecast isn't always right. I've lost count of the amount of times my wife goes, "rain all day tomorrow" as I walk round the course without a drop. 

 

Hope it turns out well for you, decent bit of wind and maybe it blows over quickly if it comes.

In more positive news, I’ve been chatting up Delores all afternoon in the hotel reception who’s the Golfbreaks manager over here.

 

I think she feels bad about the weather so has blagged us free corporate hospitality tomorrow in the new ‘map and flag’ set up at Augusta tomorrow.

 

Looks amazing so the worse case is we sit eating lobster and shrimps with celebs all day

If you see Shane Lowry, make sure to let him know he's getting a green jacket on Sunday. Unless he fancies giving it to his mate Rory, I'll let that slide. 

 

Weirdly I've had a punt on Maverick McNealy at 110/1, never played there before but it didn't stop Ludvig last year and Mav is world no.16 so hardly a chopper. There's a few that I think are bigger than they should be in the betting, Straka (55s), even Lowry himself at 33. 

 

Going to be a great week, hopefully a European winner!

It’s 5.15am here and we were supposed to leave for Augusta at 6.00 but they’ve delayed entry because of thunderstorms.

Waiting on another update at 8.00 but they could stay closed all day like they did on practice days in 2014 and 2022. The forecast is terrible all day.

I mean, what are the fvcking odds. 
This is clearly penance for something I’ve done in a previous life

Seen on Sky that it's been suspended, hopefully you got there at some point and got something out of the day before they gave everyone the boot!
