So many golfers I like for the US Open this week:

Matt Fitzpatrick

Fleetwood

McIlroy

Giving us a strong chance of a European winner

Home crowd:

Scheffler obviously

Burns

Cam Young

Gotterup

Outsider shout at 100/1 I like Gary Woodland, won a US Open before at Pebble which is exposed and windy like Shinnecock will be. Also won already this year and posted two other top 10s.

Long way to go, but go on Gary lad!

USGA speeding up the greens today and clearly want everyone going backwards.

The field at least a couple of shots worse off than yesterday. Anything around even par today and you'll be gaining ground.

Can’t see anyone posting lower than a 66, even with a lesser breeze today, so Clark can probably afford to go round in +1.

He won this major three years ago - you wouldn’t expect him to choke but if Scottie can get on a roll and get to -5 then you just never know

Lottie Woad holing her bunker shot on 17. Hopefully a stress free 18th on the way to victory…

Well, that didn’t go to plan, bogey 6 to go into a play-off.

1 over so far today.

Burns within two.

Nobody wants the blow pig to win.

Scottie still in with a shout and could win with his B minus game.

Cashmere Keith Mitchell would be a popular winner.

Now that all the Brit's are out of the running I wouldn't mind Sam Burns winning. He's probably due a major with his talents.

Clark has steadied the ship around the turn.

It’s just been a bit dull hasn’t it. Not one that will live long in the memory.

Certainly won’t with the fans there .

They hardly cheered Clark at all .

Our greens are immaculate right now and I putted the lights out with 28 putts in todays midweek medal.

The confidence knowing that if you hit your line with the right pace, there's a good chance it will drop.

I know we lord the pro's for their putting ability but it's hardly surprising seeing as they play on carpets week in week out.

For most of the year amateur golfers putts are bobbling all over the place so it's nice to enjoy the rare weeks when the greens are perfect and true.

Match play moment there for Vik. As the saying goes, first in wins!

Scottie will be having nightmares over missing that four footer.

We're there a couple of Leicestershire lads who qualified last year or have I dreamt that?

Had a little £2 on Tyler Duncan for the John Deere at 940/1 and he's tied 8th lol

Just one I believe,  Frazer Jones from Kirby Muxloe,  unlucky to miss out by one shot this year at Burnham & Berrow.
