LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 27 January 2014 Posted 27 January 2014 An obvious PPV...Foley pissed off with WWE for not putting Bryan in the rumble. I would have marked out so much if Roman won but you knew it would have been too good to be true.. In saying that, backstage heat on Batista for what he did after they went off air... http://wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2014/0126/569615/batista-flips-out-on-fans-after-wwe-royal-rumble-ppv/ Top 5 matches for Mania: Batista/Orton Lesnar/Taker Wyatt/Cena Punk/HHH Bryan/Sheamus Apparently Ultimate Warrior vs Ryback is in talks
The Horse's Mouth Posted 27 January 2014 Posted 27 January 2014 I think it was too early for Reigns. I'd fancy him for the MITB.
Uncle Albert Posted 27 January 2014 Author Posted 27 January 2014 Urrrrrggggghhllll. It's 2006-2009 all over again. Oh don't say that, I can't go through any of that again. I think it was too early for Reigns. I'd fancy him for the MITB. Yeah it would of been to soon for him to have won that, probably the only things WWE did get right with the Rumble was Roman Reigns. I really don't see what WWE are going to get out of John Cena v Bray Wyatt? Another chance for superhero Cena (that's not me slating him) beating a faction on his own.. Too predictable. If WWE were smart and it was possible to happen, then I would love to see the Undertaker be the man behind the Wyatts and then Taker face John Cena at WM30, obviously won't happen as the Dead Man will never be a heel due to his one event a year schedule.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 I'm glad they put Wyatt over Bryan, I think if Bryan had have had the beatdown and the win it would've hurt Bray's credibility. After finishing the Rumble last night I must say Batista looked absolutely wrecked after about 2 minutes. I honestly think his first match back could be a copy of Scott Steiner's comeback.
Uncle Albert Posted 28 January 2014 Author Posted 28 January 2014 Batista v Brock Lesnar at the Elimination Chamber then in a number one contender match? Orton, Cena, Sheamus and Daniel Bryan confirmed for the Chamber, maybe Bray Wyatt in there as well to make up the 6th spot.
Libertine Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Hmmm. Was expecting Lesnar in the EC match before. If it's Batista vs Brock, surely neither are going to go into Mania with a loss? Could end up a no contest, then making it a triple threat for the title, freeing up Taker to face Bryan? I doubt it.
Uncle Albert Posted 28 January 2014 Author Posted 28 January 2014 I would love that Daniel Bryan v Taker. Raw weren't too bad, the middle hour was poor though. The mid card really is going nowhere, nobody is doing anything on the mid card to warrant a place at WrestleMania. The pre-match Battle Royal will be huge at this rate. Dean Ambrose needs that US Championship taking off him, had it since May and I can't even remember the last time he defended it. Edit - The last time he defended it was October 27th, shocking.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Probably his last defence was Ziggler, just get rid of it completely.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Sad if true, can't really blame him though.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Yeah Punk walked out of Raw by all accounts will be gutted if true honestly won't feel like watching if true. Interesting articles about this on cageside seats and bleacher report http://www.cagesideseats.com/wwe/2014/1/29/5356698/report-cm-punk-gone-from-wwe-after-telling-vince-mcmahon-he-was-going-home And the elimination chamber has been confirmed as Orton, Bryan, Cena, Sheamus, Christian and Cesaro. Really? Had potential before the last two were named. Guess Punk could Have been in it before the walkout

Guess Punk could Have been in it before the walkout I just read punk was to fight cesaro in a qualifier with Kane costing punk the match and setting up punk vs Kane at EC
The Horse's Mouth Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I'm happy Christian is in there because I'm a big fan, but he's done absolutely nothing for about a year or so.
Uncle Albert Posted 29 January 2014 Author Posted 29 January 2014 Christian? It's becoming a joke. Wouldn't be surprised if this is an angle in the Punk v The Authority storyline, like someone said they wouldn't be surprised if he took some time off after WM, I said he looks to be carrying an injury as well, I know he was in the Rumble for the longest but he didn't actually do much did he? Only 2 eliminations, wasn't his usual self, I didn't think anyway.
Ross-Kemp Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Raw was supposed to have EC qualifiers but following the reaction at the RR, he scrapped it. Punk has threw his toys out of the pram again, he is a mardy bastard.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Its like they have filled the last two spots in the chamber to be honest. Bit of a joke i think. Rapidly going down hill for me
Ford Super Sunday Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I don't comment in this thread often if at all but the RR has forced me to. I was spectacularly pumped for the RR. Downloaded it on the Monday and spent the evening watching it with the girlfriend. Unfortunately the BBC's headline ruined the fact Bryan wasn't in it but aside from the first match it was a monumental waste of my time. Absolutely loved the crowd during the Cena-Boreton match, horrible contest that we've NEVER seen before, and both completely destroying the credibility of each others finishing moves (then again, when has creative stopped Cena destroying every one of his opponents finishers?) There were some criticisms from people about the crowd shitting on the match, saying that Vince won't push Bryan if they're ruining these marquee matches by chanting and booing through them, but how else are we to express our displeasure that we're being served a match we've had eight times on a PPV and are still screwing over the most over man in the company. The Rumble itself was horrible, stodgy and there was nothing that exciting in my view, though some may love it. (maybe Kofi Kingston, more the fact he might mess it up than anything.) There were plenty of facepalm moments seeing the likes of Khali, El Torito et al coming out. They really do have some dross in their roster, and the Rumble tends to highlight this every year. Bringing back dross, in the form of Kevin Nash, was not helpful either. Knowing Bryan wasn't coming, and being able to work it out anyway with the promo before was just depressing. Where was the star quality? Mysterio last? Ryback near the end? There was nothing to be excited about on the countdowns, and you can usually rely on that to make it at least a bit entertaining. Booing Batista out of the building was something I enjoyed. Superb Wrestling crowd that was, won't see the likes again until the post-WM Raw I imagine. The predicted WM line-ups going around are hideous, is this really what it's become? Unless they have a master plan where they're putting Bryan off to get a proper explosion of joy. I've not seen Raw yet but I'm told it's nothing spectacular, two words that could sum up most Raw episodes as of the three-hour switch. If Punk's left then I guess it's for the best, he can piss off for four years, decide to come back and walk into a title match to headline WrestleMania, don't bother with this hard work business, just leave and walk back in.
Jace Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I hope he has the product has hit rock bottom I struggled to watch the rumble this year usually I'm excited for weeks leading up to it, I understand the whole PG but what it has become it just embarrassing again
Hugo Sanchez Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 No punk has legitimately quit, had a meeting with vince and quit. Glad he did, slated Batista and said it was daniel Bryan year. Sting has signed too, won't appear till the raw after wrestlemania though.
Jace Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Tmz story http://www.tmz.com/2014/01/29/cm-punk-quit-wwe-wrestlemania-batista/
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Honestly a little upset if its true but don't blame him. Had his historic title reign given to the Rock then was supposed to win the RR apparently only for it to be changed and given to another returner. What does he have to do to main event wm?
Uncle Albert Posted 30 January 2014 Author Posted 30 January 2014 I am absolutely gutted Punk has quit, such a huge loss. Battle of egos unfortunately and there was only going to be one winner wasn't there, Vince McMahon. WWE will eventually lose out in the end, i'm glad a wrestler has voiced their opinion on the direction of WWE, Batista coming back is ridiculous in the way he has, nothing compared to The Rock's return, Batista can't get a reaction and a hype like he did and that is what WWE thought was going to happen. Apparently the online reports are saying that Punk fancies trying UFC out, if his body can handle the strain. I honestly think Punk will be back sooner rather than later, maybe a few weeks before WrestleMania. Quite sad and pathetic have un-followed Punk off of Twitter.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 I really really hope the crowds have a big impact on this like they did at the rumble for Bryan. Its dire the way things are being run currently it really is, Batista winning the rumble was frankly disgusting. Personally can't see Punk doing Mma, but would be interesting of he goes to another wrestling company. If you were TNA you really would surely spend any amount getting him in it would definitely pull some viewers over.
