Walshy5 Posted 18 April 2013 Share Posted 18 April 2013 I cant believe people actually think we can do it. We need at least 7 points out of the remaining 3 games. Can you really see that happening with the teams we're playing? Plus lets be honest we were very lucky to hold on against bolton. If anyone thinks we can you really are deluded! Ps id love to be proven wrong.

I wouldn't fancy anything more than a point at Forest. 4 points from the other two should see us through IMO

_Fatboyslow_ Posted 18 April 2013 Share Posted 18 April 2013 My point is that its all or nothing on here. We're only 3 points better off than Monday but everyone is now talking about the playoffs rather than the 'what ifs'. Isn't that the OP's issue. To be safe and book it or risk missing out if he waits ?
Ozwin Posted 18 April 2013 Share Posted 18 April 2013 I don't know wether to chance it on one of the sets of fixtures or book them all off. What's everyone doing?
MIAMI_FOX Posted 18 April 2013 Share Posted 18 April 2013 If we beat Palace then book the day off! Im that confident
Jonaldinho Posted 18 April 2013 Share Posted 18 April 2013 i cant see that anything less than 7 will be enough looking at other teams fixtures. With our goal difference, I can see 5 being enough to be honest. If we draw against palace and forest and beat Watford then I'd guess that we'd finish in the play-offs. Alf Bentley Posted 19 April 2013 Share Posted 19 April 2013 i cant see that anything less than 7 will be enough looking at other teams fixtures. As well as a 1-point advantage, we have a goal difference of +23, compared to +7 and +4 for Bolton and Forest, respectively. So, realistically, to overtake us they have to get 2 points more than us from their last 3 games. As it's mathematically impossible to get 8 points from 3 games, if we got 6 points, they'd have to win their last 3 matches. If we get 5 points, they'll need 7 (2 wins & 1 draw). Bolton have 6 points from their last 3 matches, but Forest and Palace have got only 1 point apiece...and Bolton still have to go to Cardiff for their final away match. In my book, 6 points would definitely be enough and 5 points probably would
