Parafox Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 Spare a thought for poor old Hinckley, finished the season in bottom place with a goal difference of minus 106. I believe that's some kind of all time low in the annals of the Football League. Still, they got a following on the Danny Baker show on R5live last weekend. Shame for the lads who only play for expenses and get no wage. Hope to see them back in the league soon.
Ashley Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 Mine and Heggsy cousin manges Hinckley. Basically the chairman has done one and wants all the money he has put into the club back. I've been told that the chairman apprently wants them to go bust so he can sell the land that Hinckley United FC stands on, including the youth pitches for houses.
Stuliasz Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 Do you mean the owner i.e. Downes rather than the chairman Mike Sutton? I've heard some stories from inside the club about the former that are frankly horrendous. Feel for everyone associated with Hinckley United FC at the moment.

Heard good things though should Hinckley come out of trouble and find some kind of money
Parafox Posted 28 April 2013 Author Posted 28 April 2013 I knew Downes would be involved in some way. The word charlatan springs to mind. Go on you pikeys, sue me.
Manwell Pablo Posted 2 May 2013 Posted 2 May 2013 Unless they sort their money out I'd get your bets on them going down again next season.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 3 May 2013 Posted 3 May 2013 What division will they be in next season ? Wikipedia places them in the Southern League next season, but that's not exactly reliable.
goose2010 Posted 3 May 2013 Posted 3 May 2013 I think they have been brought out already, i may be wrong but i'm sure in was in the local paper the other week that someone has paid all their debt off and their back to basically square one.
leicesterisme Posted 3 May 2013 Posted 3 May 2013 I'd imagine they'll go into the Southern Prem with Barwell, unless they restructure the leagues again and put Kings Lynn into the Southern Prem and move Barwell over to the Northern Prem.
notnow john Posted 3 May 2013 Posted 3 May 2013 I knew Downes would be involved in some way. The word charlatan springs to mind. Go on you pikeys, sue me. You'll be hearing from his solicitors, Hunt, Lunt and Cunningham!
